You have to know what is going on in this industry right now.
There is no way to achieve super success, if you continue to operate in
the same stale, predictable, boring ways.
You cannot learn it by yourself.

I look in my own Community at "MINX NIGHTCLUB" and all the missed
opportunities they had this first Year to really do incredible business,
but in my expert opinion, due to a horrible front door design, which
pitted sloppy patrons entering right next to their upscale lounge, it was
a total negative.
Upscale Patrons did not want to even see the average clubbers going into
the main part of the Club.
But they were situated where both entrances were ten feet away from each

Then, the same club was paying females to dance on platforms in ugly
outfits, why would you have to pay young ladies to dance?
Every female Patron who wants to enjoy a nightclub will dance and even
jump up on a platform and give it her Beyonce Best.
All because of the failure of Ownership to listen, to learn to look, to
let The Best teach them the Ways of "The New Nightclub World".
Look at "The Dirty Martini Bar/Club" in Clearwater, Florida.
Their entire focus is on drink specials, on Jazz, that nobody who
patronizes the club, spends, tips and frequents more than just one night a
week, because, they are targeting a demographic that is way too old and
they are in fact becoming known as an "OLD CLUB" meaning much older
That can be a snake pit in terms of attempting to generate excellent
income and packed nights.
But once again Owners are slow to react, and even slower to change.
It is a systemic problem of Owners who have just opened in the last four
months, and poured huge dollars into remodeling, but never got off the
Instead of offering "THE FUN" and "THE WOW FACTORS", this Owner chooses to
book bands that are a toss up if they are going to draw patrons, refuses
to institute a cover charge, thus placing the entire expense of the night
life, as well as the day to day operation entirely on the bar.

The final nail in the coffin is featuring a Jazz Band on the night before
I mean I can't make these totally whacked strategies up.

Then, there is the Sports Bar in Michigan, for 18 years it has established
itself as thee place to watch a game, but then Two National Chains came in
and buried the local legendary Sports Bar.
What did he do to steal the thunder from the two National Chain
Nope, instead,the Owner turned to Texas Hold Em five nights a week, five
nights a week, drawing anywhere from 100 to 150 patrons in a room that
holds 600 people.
That means 75% of his space sits idle and offers no "FUN", no "WOW
The Owner says "He is burnt out", ok, but what about seeking out a new
format, a new direction, a new concept, that targets Women, whom he says
very few of, frequent his Sports Bar.
He has taken no action to stem the tide and take back his market share.
He is losing tens of thousands of dollars and I cannot even tell you why
he will not act?
Now let us travel to Harrisburg, Pa. to a Restaurant, with a Martini Bar
upstairs, but nobody is going upstairs.
The Manager is booking great bands but nobody cares.
The Owner is offering drink specials, but nobody cares.
Both say our Martini Bar & Lounge is beautiful with couches and great

That's fine, but again I ask, where is "THE FUN", where are "THE WOW
And to waste even more money, this establishment takes a full page ad out
in a "BAR FLY" Magazine that nobody is responding to.
If you don't get results, why continue to waste your money?
They don't charge a cover charge, so the bar has to pay the band, huge
mistake, you can't see a brand new movie, showing during the day at a
movie theater, for less than $5, why, why, why would you book top bands
and not charge an entertainment charge?
So this Restaurant and Martini Bar/Lounge suffers along, with no upside in

DO YOU HONESTLY THINK A BAR OR CLUB OFFERING $1 DRINKS IS MAKING MONEY?
YOU KNOW WHAT YOUR COMPETITION IS PAYING FOR A CASE OF WELL VODKA, OF WELL

Add no cover charge as a revenue source, add the worthless radio
advertising and alternative newspaper ads, and you show me their bottom
line is not in the RED ?
These Bars and Clubs selling their liquor cheap, are drawing, attracting
type of patron.
The patron who is coming in and frequenting this establishment not for
what they are presenting, but what they are pricing.
You do the math, you know what liquor costs, you add on his overhead, his
dumb radio advertising, and then his charging a $1 a drink, now you tell
me honestly where he is even breaking even, let alone, destroying any
ability to generate viable profits?
