There is so much more to enhancing New Year's Eve so that you generate MAXIMUM MONEY.
You should be in a position to entice patrons to book their Reservations two weeks minimum before New year's Eve. We are referring to Paid Deposits, "Non Refundable", that includes a
reserved table and all the New Year's Eve Amenities. This is the #1 Night of the Year, you pull out all the stops. Don't just make it a night of the basics, make it a night of the "BIGGEST", you can offer your New Year's Eve Patrons. Make sure you host the greatest New Year's Eve Party in your area. You don't have to be the largest bar to be the #1 New Year's Eve Celebration. I repeat, sell out your New Year's Eve Event, weeks in advance. Forget VIP Sections, make every Table designated VIP. Use my "Table Side VIP Service " Method to include everyone, this is not a night for exclusion. Live Band, not the same old local band, DJ, doesn't make a difference in my scheme of the night. What does have the impact are the non stop "FUN", "WOW FACTORS" and "FAB", that you include in your format. Sure times are tough, but New Year's Eve, so many party people pull out all the stops, Women want to get dressed up, New Year's revelers want to experience more than just "THE BALL DROPPING @ TIMES SQUARE", you want your patrons to arrive at 9pm and stay till 1am. How do you accomplish that? Very simple, you put the focus squarely on a Night of one "FUN ELEMENT" after another. Within these different "Concepts" comes additional income, Credit Card Tabs are running all night long. This is one night, no Staff Smoking Breaks, no Staff Cell phone Use. There is only one focus, "THE CUSTOMERS" all night long. No outside issues, no personal problems. When do you start marketing your New Year's Eve Bash, Right NOW. SELL IT OUT NOW. Make such a demand for Tables and Tickets, that you are besieged by Customers wanting to insure they have a Reservation in place NOW. All your beer and liquor vendors are called in to participate. There is no reluctance, just plenty of "Whatever You Need" attitude. There is a TEN STEP MUST DO in order to have a record breaking New Year's Eve. Last Year I had an Owner email me around 6am, before he went to sleep to tell me " Rich I am a Believer, I had the biggest New Year's Eve" in 20 years, Thank You". FACT. You see my Strategies consist of creating far more avenues of income, than just the door charge, just the regular food and beverage fees, I go way further than that. That is why I make it a "RECORD REVENUE" Night. Yes, it takes a great deal of consistent marketing, Yes, it takes a combination of on premise and off premise pumping & promoting to accomplish a "SOLD OUT" Night prior to New Year's Eve.

SPORTS BARS, MUST TAKE IT TO THE NEXT LEVEL AND REINVENT THEIR NIGHTS INTO PARTY HOURS. YES, THAT'S RIGHT. REGARDLESS OF BEING KNOWN FOR THE PLACE JOE SIX PACKS HANG OUT, IT'S TIME TO GET WITH 2013 AND ATTRACT WOMEN, WOMEN AND MORE WOMEN, THAT'S WHAT I MEAN!
NO, NOT WITH LADIES NIGHTS, WHERE LADIES DRINK FREE, BUT LADIES "FUN", "WOW", NIGHTS WHERE LADIES GET INTO THE PROMOTIONS, BRING ALL THEIR FRIENDS, AND YOUR SPORTS BAR IS NOW FILLED WITH HOTTIES FOR "THE FUN". FOR SOME REASON, SPORTS BAR OWNERS, FEEL THEY ARE PAINTED INTO A CORNER, DUE TO THEIR FORMAT, THEY COULD NOT BE MORE WRONG. I HAVE SEEN MORE SPORTS BARS BECOME PLACES TO PARTY, THAN YOU CAN IMAGINE. BECAUSE THEIR OWNERS UNDERSTOOD MY VISION AND WERE NOT AFRAID TO TAKE IT AND IMPLEMENT IT. YOU SEE, THERE IS A GREAT DEAL OF DOWN TIME IN BEING A SPORTS BAR, SO MANY DARK NIGHTS, WHEN THERE ARE NO GAMES, NO SPORTING EVENTS ON. UFC HAS PRICED ITSELF OUT OF MANY SPORTS BARS, DUE TO PURE GREED. DIRECT TV AND THEIR NFL PACKAGE IS OFTEN WAY TOO EXPENSIVE FOR ALL SPORTS BARS TO AFFORD. BLACKED OUT GAMES DUE TO A LACK OF TICKET SALES, IS ANOTHER REASON, SPORTS BARS CANNOT AFFORD TO SIMPLY LET SUNDAYS GO BY, BECAUSE YOUR TEAM IS PLAYING HOME AND YOU CAN'T SHOW THE GAME. I HAD A SPORTS BAR, HOST A DISCO NIGHT, THEY HAD A RECORD TURNOUT AND AWESOME CASH FLOW, LET ME ADD THAT THE OWNER, SPENT A MONTH IN ADVANCE PUMPING THE NIGHT, SO THAT HIS ENTIRE COMMUNITY WAS AWARE OF THE UPCOMING "DISCO BALL DANCE THE NIGHT AWAY" PROMOTION. SPORTS BARS ARE CONTACTING ME, THAT THEY ARE BEING PRESSURED TO LOWER DRINK PRICES, WHY? WHO WANTS THAT CHEAP TO DRINK CROWD? WHY HURT YOUR BOTTOM LINE? THAT'S NOT AN ANSWER THAT'S PANIC PROMOTING. READY TO GO, FIRE IT UP!!!!! STOP TRYING TO BAR BEG AND PATRON PLEAD! THAT'S NOT AN ANSWER, IT'S A RESPONSE TO WHAT OTHER BARS, SPORTS BARS ARE DOING. WHY SHOULD ANY SPORTS BAR SUFFER, WHEN THERE ARE NO GAMES TO VIEW? WHY SIMPLY BE SLOW?
SOME SPORTS BAR OWNERS ARE COMING TO THE REALIZATION THEY CAN BE MORE THAN WHAT THEY CURRENTLY PERCEIVED TO BE. IT'S ALL IN THEIR MARKETING. BOTH INHOUSE AND AROUND THEIR LOCAL AREA. WHEN YOU THINK ABOUT IT, REALIZE THE POTENTIAL, YOU WILL DO IT!

ESTABLISHMENT, THAT NEEDS TO TRANSFORM, REVAMP, REINVENT AND

HOW DO YOU INTEND ON SEEING A RETURN ON YOUR INVESTMENT, IF YOU DON'T STOP THE MISTAKES BEING MADE AND REVERSE THE NEGATIVITY INTO POSITIVE ACTIONS.
YOU NEED TO INSURE THAT YOUR ESTABLISHMENT IS USING THE WEB FOR BOTH SALES AND SUPPORT TOOLS. IF YOUR OWNER IS NOT GETTING IT DONE, THEN TAKE OVER. IT'S YOUR MONEY. IN THIS ECONOMY, YOU CANNOT AFFORD TO PROCRASTINATE, YOU NEED TO ACTIVATE, FAR TOO MANY OWNERS TAKE WAY TOO MUCH TIME TO THINK ABOUT REVAMPING, REINVENTING, REFORMING THEIR CURRENT MODE OF OPERATING, THUS UNFORTUNATELY, COMING TO THE END OF THE ROAD, RATHER THAN FINDING A NEW ROAD THAT TAKES THEM TO PROFITABILITY. A BEAUTIFUL BLUES CLUB THAT SERVES FOOD @ NIGHT, DECIDES ON A WHIM, DUE TO SLOW BUSINESS, TO OPEN FOR LUNCH, THE INVESTORS WANT MONEY GENERATED. SO THEY HANG A BANNER THAT IS BARELY VISIBLE DUE TO IMPROPER POSITIONING AND THEY SIT IDLE.
THEIR MENU IS TOO PRICEY FOR LUNCH, JUST A BLOCK AWAY, THERE IS A QUAINT DELI THAT IS BURYING EVERY OTHER EATERY ON THIS LONG BLOCK. THE DELI'S PRICES ARE RIGHT, THEY DO SIT DOWN, TAKE OUT, DRIVE THROUGH AND DELIVERY. THEY ARE SO BUSY, THEY CLOSE ON SUNDAYS AND DON'T MISS A PENNY.
SO THE BLUES CLUB SUFFERS, I DON'T KNOW HOW MUCH LONGER THEY CAN OPERATE? THEY ARE RIGHT NEXT DOOR TO A LEGENDARY MUSIC VENUE, THAT HAS GREAT BLUES, ROCK, POP, TOP 40, BANDS NIGHTLY, AND PACK IN CROWDS. THERE WAS NO REASON FOR THIS BLUES CLUB TO EVEN OPEN. IT HAD BEEN A CLUB PRIOR THAT ALSO SUFFERED AND THEN CLOSED. WHY DO NEW OWNERS THINK, THEY CAN TAKE A LOSER, AND MAKE IT A WINNER? SO MUCH MONEY WAS POURED INTO THE REMODEL OF THIS BLUES CLUB, IT IS SCARY. YOU REALLY HAVE TO ASK THIS OWNER, WHAT EVER POSSESSED YOU TO EVEN CONSIDER ATTEMPTING THIS VENTURE? WHAT EXPERTS DID YOU CONSULT WITH? WHAT RESEARCH DID YOU DO? FORGET ABOUT ANY BUSINESS PLAN, BECAUSE THEY RARELY ARE ACCURATE.
OWNING MORE THAN ONE LOCATION
I have just in my own area, three major players that own over six bar and grilles each. Yup, they just keep opening up new locations. One set of Partners, just borrowed $800,000. from a bank, $550,000 for the property, $250,000 for the build out. My point is, when you own multiple locations, it requires very tight Management. No Drugs, No Funny Business with the daily cash, Tight Liquor, Wine, Beer, Food Controls, No dating employees, No drinking while working, and that is just for the General Manager and his down line. CONSISTENCY, DISCIPLINE, ZERO TOLERANCE, IT'S HOW OUTBACK, IT'S HOW BLUE MARTINI, IT'S HOW THE SUCCESSFUL CHAINS OPERATE, IT'S EXACTLY HOW YOU SHOULD BE, AS WELL, NEED THE Direction, Strategies, Concepts, to implement, email RichUnger@promotingnightclubs.com

HE NEVER GAVE THEM THE MARKETING PATH TO IMPLEMENT, HE LEFT THE KITCHEN WITH JUST ONE PERSON TO HANDLE FOOD ORDERS, DISH WASHING, KITCHEN CLEANING, HE LEFT THE BAR WITH STAFF THAT SHOULD OF BEEN TERMINATED, HE LEFT THE MANAGER WITH NO LEADERSHIP DIRECTION AT ALL, HE LEFT THE OWNER WITH WAY TOO MUCH TO HANDLE, AND WAY TOO LITTLE ON HOW TO?
YOU LOVE WATCHING "BAR RESCUE" BECAUSE YOU ARE SO GLAD IT'S NOT YOU AND YOUR BAR THAT IS ON THAT SHOW.
ANYTIME, ANYWHERE, I CHALLENGE JON TAFFER AS I HAVE FOR YEARS, TO TAKE TWO BARS SIDE BY SIDE IN AN ENTERTAINMENT DISTRICT, AND WATCH WHO PACKS THEIR BAR WITH THE SPENDERS AND WOMEN, WATCH WHICH BAR HAS "ENERGY", WATCH WHICH BAR HAS "THE FUN", "THE WOW FACTORS" AND "THE FAB", AND I DO NOT EVEN HAVE TO BE ON THE PREMISES. YOU HEARD ME. I CHALLENGED MR TAFFER TO A "SHOW DOWN" AT THE BAR SHOW FOR YEARS, BUT FROM THE GREAT ED MEEKS, TO NOW QUESTEX, THEY SAID "NO". ONLY THE LATE GREAT TAYLOR RAU, SAID " RICH NOW THAT IS A GREAT CHALLENGE".
AS I HAVE SAID BEFORE, LOOK AT THE "BAR RESCUE" EPISODE ON THE SPORTS BAR, WHERE MR TAFFER HAS A "GRAND MARNIER" EXPERT COME IN, AND TEACH THE BAR STAFF HOW TO MAKE DRINKS WITH "GRAND MARNIER" AS WELL AS MR TAFFER INSTALLING A "GRAND MARNIER" SHOT
MACHINE". NOT ONE SPORTS BAR OUT OF 30 I ASKED, EVEN SERVE ENOUGH 'GRAND MARNIER" TO WARRANT HAVING MORE THAN A BOTTLE OR TWO ON HAND. BUT MY CONCLUSION IS, MR TAFFER WAS COMPENSATED SO IT'S NOT ABOUT DOING WHAT IS BEST FOR THE SPORTS BAR, IT'S ALL ABOUT HYPE & LIKE FOR A LIQUER THAT HAS NO MERIT EVEN BEING FEATURED IN A SPORTS BAR. MR TAFFER AGAIN SHAME ON YOU FOR PUTTING "PRODUCT PLACEMENT" OVER LEGITIMATE SPORTS BAR HIGH VOLUME LIQUORS. MR TAFFER MY CHALLENGE STILL STANDS.
I DON'T NEED TO BE ON SPIKE TV, LET THE ATTENDEES VIEW THE RESULTS. I DON'T CURSE, I DON'T YELL, I DON'T BERATE, I DON'T HUMILATE, I DO EDUCATE, I DO INFORM, I DO DIRECT, I DO MOTIVATE, I DO TURN THEIR DOWNWARD SPIRIAL INTO A UPWARD SUCCESS. I USE "BAR BRILLANCE", IT IS FAR AND AWAY, ABOVE ANY KIND OF "bar rescue".
Why Do So Many Owners Listen To Some Many People?
I talk to Owners who when business is slow, when their bar is dead, they panic, and let anyone tell them whatever it is, they think will work. The problem is they don't have a clue. Neither do YOU. I know, Everyone tells you how great looking your bar is.
Everyone tells you how good your staff is.
Everyone tells you how great your small plates are.
Everyone tells you that they will be back.
But, they never ever come back.
It's not just about your atmosphere, or your staff, or your small plates, it's all about your lacking any "ENERGY".
You pay your DJ way too much, because he tells you over and over, I can pack your bar or club. But where are the Hot Women, where are the Men who Spend?
You can't deposit conversation.
Stop listening to those who don't know.
Look @ what you have spent vs what you have taken in?
Now do you get it?
You waste so much time, you are either going to be a statistic of places closed, or your going to RISE UP and RETAKE YOUR NIGHTS. Which is it going to be?
