WHEN ALL YOU HAVE IS A BEER AND WINE LICENSE, YOU HAVE THE ADVANTAGE OVER ANY ESTABLISHMENT WITH A FULL LIQUOR LICENSE!
The key is to maximize your presentation.
You do not need full liquor availability any longer to compete with the big boy bars.
There are just too many diverse products that give you the upper hand. The problem is you have always considered just beer and wine as a liability instead of an asset.
You have not been creative and aggressive in your approach to operating.
You have so many delicious, enticing beverages available to you.
But you have narrowed your presentation to just wines and beers.
You have lost the serious cash flow.
Your not reaching out to many women, because your not serving any beverage that is exciting and enticing.
You are stuck in the a format similar to "World Of Beer" which while successful in most locations, it misses the bar completely on it's marketing to women. Why?
Because it does not have the beverages women want.
The key is consistency, not gimmicks, you build on  your foundation of business.
You have the upper hand in marketing, media and reach.
You don't need a "WELL Of Cheap Liquors", you don't need the levels of Call Brands and Top Shelf.
Why?
Owners who fail with just beer and wine are Owners who don't make it happen.
Owners who don't have the vision that they convert into reality.
It takes me a few minutes, it takes Owners a few months.
I don't understand the slow, passive, restraint behavior.
I am a GET IT DONE Person, I don't want any other bar to have any lead on the bar I am with. Never Happens.
There is an entire segment of the Beer and Wine on Premise Segment, that many of these bars, are totally missing out on.
The apprehension of Owners to move forward is costing them their businesses.
So many bars are closing, because Partners know nothing, all talk, now that the bar is open, they run away from it.
Owners are not aware of trends, of consumers they cater to, because they don't have the time to be "insightful", they are so entrenched in areas of their bar that employees should be responsible for doing.

Cheat your customers out of Top Shelf and serve them the well.
Raids in New Jersey, caught 29 bars serving with a smile, charging with a grin, the garbage, when they ordered the "Best".
13 of those bars caught, were all "TGIF" units.
Now was this company wide in that area, or was it each individual manager having a brainstorm on how to increase numbers the easy way, rip off the customer?
I am ashamed of "TGIF". People should be fired.
Full page ads online in Jersey Newspapers should be taken, a CEO Press Release should be sent out as well as a video by the CEO apologizing and asking the public for their trust. Assuring customers this was isolated and will not be tolerated. This should all be done NOW.   

 

A DJ NEEDS TO PRESENT "ENTERSPINMENT", MEANING DRESSING THE ROLE, SPINNING THE ROLE, INTERACTING WITH THE CROWD, USING LED, FEATURING VIDEO, IMPLEMENTING SPECIAL EFFECTS, CLUBBERS WANT MORE THAN THE USUAL BASEBALL CAP, TSHIRT DJ, THEY WANT A DJ FEMALE PREFERABLY IN A FEDORA, AND A SHINY OUTFIT, FILLING THE DANCE FLOOR UP, ENERGIZING THE CLUB, NO PACKED DANCE FLOOR, NO DRINKS SOLD, WHAT'S THE PURPOSE OF THE DJ?
IT'S A TWO WAY REACTION. THE DJ BECOMES THE DYNAMIC DOMINATOR, THE CLUB IS THE REFRESHER TO PROVIDE THE CLUBBERS WITH COOL SIPS. IT'S ALL IN THE PROCESS OF "FORMAT FUN". THE REASON PPL LEAVE A CLUB EARLY IS BECAUSE IT'S DULL.
THE REASON PPL STAY FOR THE NIGHT IS THE "EXCITE", THE "ENTICE", THE "INVITE".
YOU HAVE TO TAKE YOUR BAR, OR CLUB TO THE NEXT LEVEL.
