 EVERYONE WANTS TO OWN A BAR OR A NIGHTCLUB.
THE GLAMOUR, THE EGO, THE WOMEN, OR THE MEN, AND OF COURSE THE MONEY!
BUT, SITTING IN FRONT OF THAT BAR AS A CUSTOMER IS A MILLION MILES AWAY FROM STANDING BEHIND IT AS AN OWNER. OWNERS ARE SO CONSUMED WITH PAYING THE RENT, THE ELECTRIC, THE PAYROLL, THE TAXES, THE LIQUOR, THE BEER, YOU KNOW EXACTLY WHAT YOUR MONTHLY "NUT" IS.
AND YOU HAVE ZERO TIME, OR MINDSET TO BE "CREATIVE".
SO YOU RELY ON RADIO SALESPEOPLE, ON LIQUOR SALESPEOPLE, ON BEER REPS,ON CLUB PROMOTERS,ON EVERYONE, BUT THE FEW, THE REAL PEOPLE WHO EAT, SLEEP AND BREATHE PACKING YOUR BAR, CLUB, LOUNGE, SPORTS BAR, HOTEL BAR, BEACH BAR, RESTAURANT/ BAR.
THE REAL PEOPLE ARE NOT INTERESTED IN DRINK SPECIALS, IN FREE COVER CHARGE, IN CHEAP BEER.
THE REAL PEOPLE ARE NOT GOING TO ADVISE YOU TO SPEND A PENNY ON RADIO. 
THE REAL PEOPLE ARE GOING TO SHOW YOU THE CUTTING EDGE, TECHNOLOGY,BECAUSE,TIME IS OF THE ESSENCE TO MASTERING SOCIAL MEDIA MARKETING.  
THERE IS ONE OTHER VITAL MARKETING LAUNCH, THAT WILL DOUBLE IF NOT TRIPLE YOUR CROWD COUNTS.
THESE ARE THE "MONEY MONTHS" RIGHT NOW, YOUR DOING "SO SO BUSINESS", WHEN YOU SHOULD BE EXPERIENCING PACKED NIGHTS.

 Without Women in your Bar, Club, Sports Bar, Lounge, Restaurant @ Night with Night Life  you are "86".
WOMEN ARE THE KEY TO YOUR VENUE BEING PACKED.
BEAUTIFUL, STYLISH, WOMEN.
IF YOU ARE NOT ATTRACTING THEM, YOU ARE IN MAJOR TROUBLE.
FACE IT. DON'T DENY IT.
Stop offering Women free drinks to lure them in.
Stop offering Women free cover charge to bring them in.
Stop offering Women Cheap Call Brands and Top Shelf Labels to attract them to your establishment.
Stop "BAR BEGGING".
You want to have Women come in for what you are, what you have, what you feature in "WOW FACTORS", "FUN" and "FAB".
GONE GIRL, GONE CLUB, it's a very simple Mantra.
Without Women, you have "Joe Six Packs". Is that really the perception you want of your Bar, Club, Lounge, Restaurant with Night Life?
Again, There Is Not A Woman in this Society, who cannot entice a Male Customer to simply buy her a Drink, then another, then another..........................
Why do Bars, Clubs, Lounges, Restaurants with Night Life refuse to accept this FACT?
This is the Generation of Millennials, they RULE......
 Women are the most important Customers that make a venue succeed or fail.
STOP, There are "Creative", "Innovative", Formats that will attract a larger increase of Women vs Men in your Venue. It is all about Style, Quality, Panache. 
Too many Owners take the easy way and end up losing money, not enticing the Women, thus back to square one.
It is right in front of you.
The "CONCEPTS" to implement are consistent and empowered. 
Let me ask you a simple question, why do you rely on Men, to think like Women?
Finally, why would a Club pay Female Customers to dance on their speakers, platforms, stages?
You don't pay anyone to dance.
If you had the right "QUALITY CROWD" to begin with, you would have dancing going on everywhere in your space.

NOBODY IS COMING IN, WHAT IS HIS NEXT MOVE, ( BANGING MY HEAD AGAINST THE WALL) RADIO.
RADIO OF ALL WORTHLESS MEDIA AVENUES OF REACH.
NOBODY IS LISTENING.
ASK YOUR RADIO SALESPERSON TO SHOW YOU THEIR "ARBITRON RATINGS BOOK" FOR THE RATINGS OF WHOM IS LISTENING, WHAT AGE THEY ARE, WHEN THEY ARE LISTENING AND FOR HOW LONG?
THEY WILL MAKE UP EXCUSES AS TO NOT SHOW YOU THE ACTUAL RATINGS BOOK, BUT RATHER, THEIR "PRINT OUTS" WHICH ARE BOGUS.
RADIO IS WORTHLESS FOR CLUBS, BARS, SPORTS BARS.
WHEN YOU MEASURE THE COST OF THE THIRTY SECOND SPOT, THEY DO NOT WANT YOU TO RUN SIXTY SECOND SPOTS WHICH IN "THE DAY" WERE EFFECTIVE, NO,NO, NOW THEY WANT YOU TO SPEND ON FIFTEEN SECONDS AND THIRTY SECOND SPOTS. SO THIS "AFTER HOURS HIP HOP FORMAT OWNER" IS NOW GOING TO WASTE HIS MONEY ON RADIO TO GO "EDM", WHICH NO STATION IN HIS MARKET EVEN PROGRAMS ON A REGULAR IN ROTATION BASIS.
YOU CAN'T MAKE THIS STUFF UP.
SO,THIS OWNER,IS UNFORTUNATELY GOING TO LOSE EVEN MORE MONEY, ULTIMATELY END UP CLOSING DOWN.
BECAUSE HE WOULD NOT EMBRACE SOCIAL MEDIA MARKETING, OH,SURE, HE POSTED ON FACE BOOK, BUT WHEN ARE OWNERS GOING TO REALIZE THAT IS JUST THE "SURFACE" OF SOCIAL MEDIA MARKETING. POSTING DIDN'T BRING ANY PATRONS TO HIS NEW "EDM FORMAT" CLUB.
THE PAST REPUTATION WAS SO BAD, HIS ABILITIES AND KNOWLEDGE TO TRANSFORM SO LITTLE, THAT HE HAD NO CHANCE OF SUCCEEDING.
OWNERS WHO ARE "SKEPTICAL" OF CHANGE, OF ACCEPTING THAT IT IS 2014 ARE GOING TO TRAGICALLY CRASH AND BURN.
THEY ARE SO STUCK IN TIME, SO MIND SET IN THEIR WAY, THEY REFUSE TO EMBRACE THE NEW WAY.
YOU CAN WATCH "BAR RESCUE" A DOZEN TIMES, WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO LEARN? HOW IS IT GOING TO AFFECT YOUR PRESENT WAY OF OPERATING?
THE SHOW NEVER EVER ADDRESSES "WOW FACTORS".
THE SHOW NEVER EVER ADDRESSES " HOW TO MASTER SOCIAL MEDIA" MY POINT BEING ENJOY THE SHOW BUT DON'T GO CURSING, BERATING, EMOTIONALLY BEATING DOWN YOUR MANAGER, YOUR STAFF,IN FRONT OF EVERYONE.

I HEAR FROM OWNERS WHO ARE DESPERATE IN TOTAL DESPAIR, QUITE OFTEN IT'S TOO LATE FOR THEM.

THE MOMENT YOU SEE A DECLINE IN BIZ, THE MINUTE YOU SEE THE WRONG CROWD COMING IN, THE SECOND YOU SEE FAR LESS WOMEN AND FAR MORE MEN COMING IN, AT ONCE YOU SEE SLOBS ATTEMPTING TO COME IN, STOP, REACT, RESPOND, REVAMP, REINVENT, RENEW, REFRESH, REPOSITION, RETAKE YOUR NIGHTS.

Hey Rich,

   Came across your site while looking for tips on how to bring my clients happy hour to life . My company current designs his Face book flyers, takeout menus and other things. The owner basically gave me free reign to do whatever for happy hour so I would like to implement a winning strategy. Also I want to be compensated properly  for it . Would like to get your input in this if possible.

            RYAN,YOU ARE DOING YOUR CLIENT A GREAT DISSERVICE, BY ASKING ME TO PROVIDE YOU WITH THE "BLUEPRINT FOR LAUNCHING A HAPPIEST HOURS" CONCEPT, WHEN YOU ARE NOT EVEN IN THE BIZ!!!!!
I CAN UNDERSTAND YOUR WANTING TO EXPAND YOUR SERVICES TO THIS OWNER, BUT IT IS TRULY A MAJOR MISTAKE FOR YOU TO TAKE ON SUCH A MAJOR, SIGNIFICANT ELEMENT OF HIS BUSINESS.
RYAN, A "HAPPY HOUR" FORMAT, IS A VITAL PART OF A RESTAURANT'S CASH FLOW AND CUSTOMER BUILDING.
I CAN'T CONVEY TO YOU, HOW TO LAUNCH IT.
I AM FLABBERGASTED, THAT YOU WOULD PUT YOURSELF AHEAD OF YOUR CLIENT'S BEST INTEREST.
YOU HAVE NO CLUE, WHAT IS INVOLVED IN "HAPPY HOUR" FORMATS.
FAR TOO MANY PLACES MAKE IT FAR TOO SHORT IN HOURS.

THE CLUB DJ IS LUCKY TO EVEN KEEP HIS JOB.

WHY DO CLUB DJs REFUSE TO SPEAK ON THE MIC?
OF COURSE a Good Club DJ can Spin, Mix, Cut, Sample.
But to simply stand up there in their booth, and not have any interaction, no vocal connection, no visual reaction, your present with your PATRONS,  This Club DJ is worth HALF OF WHAT YOUR PAYING THEM.
When a Club DJ learns to hit his wireless headset mic with banter that energizes your crowd, and packs that dance floor by jumping in on it as well, I have taught more Club DJs then I can count, on how to emerge from their Shell of fear of chatter.
If you think having a "QUIET DJ" is the TREND TO TAKE, WRONG. Clubbers don't want to hear about upcoming events during the night from the DJ, they want to be energized, eroticized, dancerized, partyized.
Club DJs afraid to just tease n talk, are not totally Professional.
No cursing, No talking down, but vocal volleys of The Night's "BEATS".
