FAR TOO MANY BARS, IGNORE, FORGET, JUST DON'T CARE ABOUT CATERING TO THE HEAT.
THE HEAT IS AN ASSET, NOT A LIABILITY, BUT BAR OWNERS, CLUB OWNERS DO NOT KNOW HOW TO CAPITALIZE ON THIS WEATHER.
FROM YOUR DRINKS, TO YOUR FOOD, FROM YOUR MUSIC TO YOUR DECOR, IT'S ALL ABOUT ATTRACTING BEAUTIFUL WOMEN AND MEN WHO SPEND THROUGH YOUR DOORS, FOUR NIGHTS A WEEK AND SUNDAYS, WHEN MONDAY IS A LEGAL HOLIDAY. BUT YOU CONTINUE TO MAKE UP EXCUSES, YOU LISTEN TO YOUR FRIENDS WHO KNOW NOTHING ABOUT THE BAR/CLUB BUSINESS.
YOU WASTE SO MUCH MONEY ON WORTHLESS MARKETING, CLUB PROMOTERS WHO PROMISE THE WORLD AND CAN'T EVEN DELIVER THE NEIGHBORHOOD, RADIO AD SALESPEOPLE WHO PUSH YOU TO PUMP OUT 15 SECOND WASTED ADS, LIQUOR SALES PEOPLE WHO PLEAD WITH YOU TO CARRY A NEW LIQUOR, AS IF YOUR BAR REALLY NEEDS ANOTHER BOTTLE ON IT.
YOU DON'T NEED A BEACH TO CREATE A "SUN, SAND, TAN, & SEX ON THE BEACH NIGHT".
ALL YOU NEED IS MY IMAGINATION AND YOUR IMPLEMENTATION.
A PACKED SUNDAY NIGHT THROUGH LABOR DAY WEEKEND.
WITH THE HEAT COMES THE GREASE, THE DIRT, THE DUST, THE GRIME, IT'S CALLED KEEPING IT ALL CLEAN TIME!!!!
HOW CLEAN IS YOUR BAR, BEHIND IT, UNDER IT, THE FLOORS, THE COOLERS, THE ICE MACHINE, THE SODA GUN, IF NOBODY WHO TENDS YOUR BAR IS CLEANING IT, THEY DON'T CARE ABOUT IT. THEY SHOULD BE FIRED.
VERY SIMPLE.
IT'S A LONG HOT SUMMER, YOU NEED PREMIER "WOW FACTOR" AFTER PERFECT "WOW FACTOR", THAT NO OTHER BAR OR CLUB IN YOUR AREA IS HOSTING.
YOUR LOSING TENS OF THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS, SWEATING PAYING THE RENT, LET ALONE THE PAYROLL, BUT YOU DO NOTHING TO REVERSE THIS TAILSPIN.
WHY IS IT, I CAN TAKE FOUR NIGHTS , WEDNESDAY, THURSDAY, FRIDAY AND SATURDAY, PACK THEM DURING THIS SUMMER WITHOUT ONE DRINK SPECIAL?
BECAUSE I CLEARLY PUT THE FOCUS ON WHAT YOUR DOING AND NOT WHAT YOUR GIVING AWAY BEHIND THE BAR.
DO NOT DISRESPECT THAT BOTTLE OF LIQUOR.
IT IS YOUR MONEY LINE.
YOUR LIQUOR BOTTLES ARE YOUR POUR GALORE OF CASH.
THINK ABOUT IT, THE MOVIE STUDIOS RELEASE THEIR BIGGEST FLICKS DURING THE SUMMER MONTHS, THE BLOCKBUSTERS DO HUNDREDS OF MILLIONS IN BOX OFFICE, YET, YOUR BAR, CLUB, LOUNGE HAS NO CONNECTION TO ANY OF THESE FLICKS? WHY?
YOUR SO CONSUMED WITH THE OVERHEAD, THE DRAMA OF YOUR BAR,CLUB, LOUNGE, SPORTS BAR, BAR AND GRILLE, YOU HAVE ZERO TIME TO BE CREATIVE DURING THIS LONG HOT SUMMER.
PROMOTING EVENTS THIS SUMMER HAVE TO BE METICULOUS. NO SLEAZE, NO TRASH, NONE OF THAT.
YOU WANT SPENDERS.
IF YOUR BAR, CLUB, RESTAURANT IS ON THE WATER OR NEAR THE WATER, AND YOUR NOT BUSY MY FOUR NIGHTS A WEEK, GO SEE A SHRINK, BECAUSE YOU HAVE MAJOR PROBLEMS.
ON THE WATER, NEAR THE WATER ESTABLISHMENTS HAVE THE GREATEST ADVANTAGE DURING THE SUMMER.
BUT, UNLESS OWNERS TAKE THIS LOCATION AND CAPITALIZE ON THEIR LOCALE, THEY LOSE TENS OF THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS, WEEKLY.
THERE'S AN ON THE WATER "BAR & GRILLE", RUN BY AN OWNER WHO HAS NO CLUE, DOES NOT KNOW WHAT TO DO, SO THE EXCELLENT LOCATION IS MEANINGLESS.
THE "BAR & GRILLE" IS EMPTY.
THIS LOCATION EVEN HAS BOAT DOCKS, FOR BOATS TO COME RIGHT IN.
I SHAKE MY HEAD IN FRUSTRATION, WHAT A SHAME.
YEARLY, THIS SPECIFIC "BAR & GRILLE" IS LOSING MILLIONS.
THE MENU IS WRONG,THE ATMOSPHERE IS NON EXISTENT, THE PROMOTIONS, THERE ARE NONE, THE STAFF, THEY O THROUGH EMPLOYEES LIKE THE KARDASHIANS HAVE FAMILY ISSUES. IT'S A LONG HOT SUMMER, I HAVE THE "FUN", THE "WOW FACTORS", IT'S NOT ABOUT GIVING LADIES FREE DRINKS, BOOKING THE SAME LOCAL BORING BANDS,WITH NO COVER CHARGE, AND PLACING THE BURDEN ON THE BAR OF THE BAND.
WRONG, WRONG,WRONG, WRONG.
YOU CAN READ ME EACH MONTH, BUT RIGHT NOW,WHEN YOU NEED MY EXPERTISE THE MOST WHAT ARE YOU DOING TO REACH OUT?
WHAT FOOD AND BEVERAGE VENUES SHOULD BE PACKED THIS SUMMER:
BARS, NIGHTCLUBS, BANQUET HALLS, ( THAT'S RIGHT WHEN YOUR NOT BOOKED, PRESENT YOUR OWN EVENTS)
SPORTS BARS, LOUNGES,HOTELS WITH POOLS, HOTELS WITH ROOF TOP BARS, BEACH BARS, RESTAURANTS WITH NIGHT LIFE, BOWLING CENTERS WITH BARS, WHY LOSE HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS THIS SUMMER?????

WHEN YOUR ADVERTISING DOES NOT DRAW IN ANYBODY, CONTRARY TO WHAT THE AD SALESPERSON TOLD YOU, IT'S A PROBLEM.

WHEN YOU GLASSES HAVE WATERMARKS ON THEM AS THEY HANG OVER YOUR BAR, IT'S A PROBLEM.

WHEN YOUR MANAGER DOES NOT TAKE CARE OF MANAGING YOUR BAR, YOUR CLUB, YOUR RESTAURANT, YOUR SPORTS BAR, YOUR BAR & GRILLE IT'S A PROBLEM.

WHEN YOU CAN'T EVEN CHARGE A COVER CHARGE, BECAUSE YOU DON'T KNOW HOW TO IMPLEMENT ONE WITH THE LEAST AMOUNT OF RESISTANCE, IT'S A PROBLEM.

WHEN YOU DON'T HAVE ANY CONSISTENT THEME NIGHTS, FUN NIGHTS, WOW NIGHTS, IT'S A MAJOR PROBLEM.

WHEN YOUR PARTNER OR PARTNERS WHO KNOW ZERO ABOUT THE BUSINESS, THINK THEY KNOW MORE THAN YOU, WHO HAS BEEN IN THE BUSINESS, IT'S A MONUMENTAL PROBLEM.

WHEN YOU REALIZE, BUSINESS IS SLOWING DOWN AND YOUR LOSING CUSTOMERS, IT'S A SCARY AND SERIOUS PROBLEM.

KEEPING PLATES UNDER "HEAT LAMPS" DESTROYS THE TASTE, THE PRESENTATION, THE ENTIRE MANTRA OF FROM COOKED TO ENJOYING.

Hi Rich, I am Opening a Nightclub with Food.
I'm Serving Chopped BBQ, Ribs and Chicken. I really want to attract 21 and above on Friday Night and 25 and above on Saturdays. I had a Teen Club at the same location. I am going to feature a DJ and Live Bands at times. I want those "WOW FACTORS" you are always urging Clubs to present. I want to pack this club on a consistent basis.

MY RESPONSE:
Gerald, "Chopped BBQ, Ribs and Chicken at 10pm at night, when Club Life People want to party, drink and enjoy a small plate is not going to work.
Having been a Teen Club at this location and now targeting 21 and up one night, 25 and up another night, is the wrong Strategy.
Just go 21 and use the K.I.S.S. Formula, "Keep It Simple Stupid".
Why confuse potential clubbers, with which night is for which age group.
Make them all 21 and Up.
Pack this new club.
But, "86" the BBQ Food. No Good, No Night, Keep it light.
Presenting a DJ and a Band is Costly, but very profitable, when the right combination are performing. They both must compliment each other.
Your not in Vegas where SUPER SPINNERS get upwards of almost $100,000 a night.
Your in a Community, where it's not about the DJ, it' all about what they spin.
The most unique DJ you can have for a residency, is a Female.
Hiring a FEM SPIN as I call them, is the ultimate Energy.
She spins like nobody else, her personality is terrific, she is a stone cold Fox as well.
It's a TRIPLE PLAY!!!

DIFFERENT BANDS IN TOTALLY DIFFERENT GENRES WITH NO CONSISTENCY.
AND FINALLY "BULLS EYE NIGHT, THROW A DART GET A DISCOUNT".
THROWING DARTS TO FIND OUT WHAT KIND OF DISCOUNT YOU MIGHT RECEIVE ON FOOD OR A DRINK.
SERIOUSLY, THIS IS THE KIND OF "ENTERTAINMENT CENTER" THAT IS LOSING HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS.
THERE ARE FAR TOO MANY OWNERS LIKE THIS, STUCK IN A TIME WARP,AND WHO HAVE PARTNERS WHO KNOW VERY LITTLE ABOUT THIS BUSINESS, BUT ACT AS IF THEY DO, THUS RESULTING IN FOOD AND BEVERAGE AS WELL AS BEVERAGE ONLY ESTABLISHMENTS CLOSING YEARLY AT AN ALARMING RATE.
I CAN LOOK AT A BAR, A CLUB, A SPORTS BAR, A LOUNGE, A STRIP CLUB,A RESTAURANT WITH NIGHT LIFE AND TELL YOU WITHIN FIVE MINUTES IF THE BUSINESS IS SUCCESSFUL OR FAILING.
40 YEARS IN THIS INDUSTRY GIVES ME THAT EXPERTISE.

YOU SHOULD OF HAD A TOTAL STEP BY STEP WAR PLAN TO FIGHT BACK AGAINST ALL THE  NEGATIVITY BY A TOTAL TRANSFORMATION.
TERMINATE EVERY SINGLE EMPLOYEE, YOU WANT TO START TOTALLY FRESH.
STOP ALL THEIR NIGHTLY FORMATS.
STOP ALL THEIR POLICIES, WHICH WERE HURTING THIS CLUB, NOT HELPING IT.
WHEN YOU CHANGE THE NAME, YOU CHANGE THE GAME, IT HAS TO HAVE AN OVERALL, TOTALLY FRESH NEW LOOK, INSIDE AND OUT.
YOU NEED SPECIFIC DIRECTION,EXPERTISE, INSIGHT, YOU DON'T JUST TAKE OVER A HUGE LOSING CLUB, CHANGE THE NAME, AND PRESTO, YOUR PACKED WITH A LINE OUTSIDE.
THINKING THAT, IS LIVING IN LA LA LAND.
THERE IS A TOTAL METHOD TO THE MADNESS, I HAVE DONE THIS HUNDREDS OF TIMES OVER 40 YEARS, AND IT REQUIRES AS I ALWAYS STRESS, RELENTLESSNESS, TENACITY, DEDICATION AND CONSISTENCY.
THE COMPETITION IS TOO TOUGH.
TIMES ARE TOO DAUNTING.
STOP TRYING TO DO WHAT YOU DON'T KNOW HOW TO DO.
