PreSeason, then The "Real Season" of NFL begins. But what about on Nights, when there are no games?

Sure your Football Afternoons and Nights are good, and for some of you, GRRREAT".
On Nights the Sports are off, what are you doing to have "GAME ON"? To have a packed Night? This year not only are Sports Bars competing against each other, but due to the demand for Huge Big Screens by Fans, many of your customers have bigger HDTV Screens than your own Sports Bar does. Why watch the game on 32 inch or 40 inch screens at your Sports Bar, when your Customers,have a 60 inch screen for their Family, Friends to enjoy watching the games. Some fans are using new technology to have "PIP" Picture In Picture, so they can watch two games at once. You can offer cheap beer, cheap wings, but Sports Bars are in for a World Cup Challenge this Football Season, because it's not just about prices, but when you have screens mounted on walls and patrons have to keep looking UP to view a game, your behind the 20 yard line. You will notice this Year a slow but steady decline in your Sunday, Monday and Thursday Night Business from Football.
That's why, Wednesday, and Friday Nights should be "CASH TALKIN NIGHTS". Why just go through the motions of opening, when you attract an entirely new customer base, and generate wall to wall nights without any sports on your screens? No Beer Specials, No Wings for 50cents each, 86 all those typical Sports Bar tactics. It's time for the Night Life Game. You can do more business, make more money on these two nights alone, then you can on all three football afternoon and nights combined. When Sunday Night Games end, and Monday is a legal Holiday that is a Record Setting Cash in your hand Night.
Take Labor Day Weekend, and my "SAY SO LONG TO SUMMER" Concept, it's all about Friday Night, Saturday Night and Sunday Night. But it requires a full Month of advance marketing, media and buzz. Any Sports Bar, Bar and Grille, Restaurant with a Bar, Lounge, Nightclub, Gentlemen's Club that does not take advantage of this Spectacular Trifecta, is going to lose thousands and thousands of dollars. The Problem is simple, too many of your Owners have lost touch with this Generation. Your still operating in denial. You still think an ad n a newspaper or night life magazine, or radio spots or flyers,or just like so many Bar Owners do, post some content on your Face Book Page. And think this is going to bring everyone in.
You have one full month of Summer left with August, this is a Month of Money. But you are suffering, because your not doing anything in your Sports Bar, your Restaurant on the Water ( Which should be a non stop cash creator) your Nightclub, which you only open on Weekends, because you are LOST. Your missing out on "The August Advantage" which is dominating your local food and beverage competition, because they are laying over and letting any Savvy Owner take over all the business.
Never before have so many Sports Bars made money on the WORLD CUP,far more than they ever thought. But after Germany Won, these bars went empty again.
You never ever want "Hip Hop", you do not want to rely on a "club promoter", you cannot keep booking the same local bands,(yawn) you should never give your bar away, because some dive bar down the road is packed, giving their bar away. You don't want that crowd anyway.
So, the bottom line is, as Sean Connery said to Kevin Costner in "THE UNTOUCHABLES", "WHAT ARE YOU PREPARED TO DO?"

MY RESPONSE: Thanks Very Much for the request to connect with me regarding your proposed TV Project. This will be the Second Time, I have turned down such an offer. Reason being, I do not want to share my "WOW FACTORS" or my "EXPERTISE", with anyone, but The Select Few.
Unlike the Individual currently cursing, berating, screaming at, and blazing a reputation for TV BAR INSULTING, I pass. I am not interested in the Drama, I prefer an Owner who has an ongoing business, but suddenly sees the numbers starting to go down. That is the Owner that takes action and I elect to share my Expertise and WOW with.
When Partners are creating infighting, and the Partner who knows absolutely NOTHING, starts doing what ends up destroying the bar, the club, the restaurant, then who comes along to pick up the pieces?
Watching the episodes of The Bar Insult Show, I am struck, by how little one learns, but how much use of the "F" word must be spoken.
Then the new "Hungry Investors" show, Chef john Besh, Owner of ten outstanding unique restaurants, and also a James Beard Best Chef Winner should Host this show all by himself. He is filled with expertise, compassion, and knows exactly what a kitchen needs to be, in order for The Front Of The House to succeed. He is a pure pleasure to watch. Chef John Besh is all Class.
But then you add Mr F Word, Mr Insult, Mr Attitude and you have "The Bar Insult Show" overlapping into what could be a dynamic show with just Chef John Besh.
The format, the storyline is always the same, the restaurant that is the weakest link, is given some new equipment, but ultimately loses the funding.
In one episode, neither restaurant was given any funding.
Let's all agree on the following:
Every Restaurant should be spotless from the Front Door to the Dining Area, to the Service Stations, to the Rest Rooms.
The Kitchen should sparkle, a dirty kitchen, grease, bugs, filthy floors, unkept food, disgusting walk ins, worn out cutting boards any Owner who allows their Chef to even work in such an environment, should not own a Restaurant.
This is not rocket science, it's all about consistently clean, glowing kitchens.
In Tampa, Florida, the ABC TV Affiliate has a segment in their Newscast, called "DIRTY DINING", the reporter sifts through the Health Department Inspection Reports and then visits the Restaurants with the worse Reports.
Some Owners let the Reporter into their kitchen, to show the Reporter and the Viewers, how clean and improved their kitchen is now. This is the way you take a negative and turn it into a POSITIVE.
But some Owners refuse to talk to the Reporter and walk away.
This is the worse lack of logic response any Owner can give.
Why would any Restaurant Owner be ashamed of the condition of their kitchen?
I don't care how good your Chef is, if he or she is a slob, they put your customers health at risk.
My Father owned Hotels, Restaurants, Nightclubs, he always asked to see the kitchen of a Restaurant he was going to dine at.
If the Manager refused, my Dad walked out.
Of course when a Kitchen is slammed with orders, the entire kitchen will have some issues, but not to the point of being out of control, of being ashamed, of being so arrogant, you look the other way. Shame on YOU.
The bottom line, think CLEAN.

You have the ability to Host real Night Life with Quality Patrons and Guests.
No Hip Hop
No Club Promoters

FOOD AND BEVERAGE EMPLOYEES LEARN FROM THIS INCIDENT
Recently a "Texas Roadhouse" Server was fired for posting on her Face Book Page about how bad the tips were at the restaurant she worked at.
Now, in defense of the Server,she never named anywhere on her page, where she worked, but a former classmate of hers who had eaten at the restaurant that week, read her post, notified "Texas Roadhouse" and she was promptly discharged.
Other Food and Beverage Servers from all over the Country chimed in on blogs.
Some said, they were required to sign "Confidential Agreements" not to discuss employees or customers neither online or in public.
I was walking by a Mall Starbuck's and heard the young staff complaining about the demanding patrons they have to serve.
I heard their remarks,just by walking outside their doors.
The point in these Words Spreading At The Speed Of Keyboards is, you have to respect your hospitality job and bluntly put, keep your mouth quiet about what goes on at your restaurant, behind your bar, in your kitchen.
Of course, if there are health concerns, legal issues, sexual harassment, wage shortages, you take these problems up with Management, if no action is taken, you go to Ownership, because Human Resource Departments are a foot dragging, waste of time.
And finally, if nobody cares, you go to City, County, State, and Federal Agencies.
Tipping is a discretionary expense, and the patrons could be lousy tippers, maybe great tippers, or just typical 10% or 20% usual pocket leavers.
Ill regardless, it's the nature of the business.
To make it personal, when presenting their check, always hand write, "Thank You w Your Name", thus making it personal.
But, when "Bar Rescue" shows a bar, where Employees are not being paid, one phone call to the "Wage and Hour Office" nearest you,which is a Division of The US Department of Labor, they take ACTION very quickly.
But never put your Company, your own local restaurant or yourself in a position of embarrassment, humiliation, or compromise by your actions or your words. It is a very poor reflection on You and Your Employer. Think before you speak..................

As an Owner, do you honestly think this is the "Strategy" to bring in "Hot Women" who want to Party, to Dance, to Spend ?
You miss entirely, the Energy of the Night, which is all about "The Women" catering to them, Dazzling them with Attention to "THEM". You just don't get it so therefore, you resort to $1 beer, cheap wine, cheap well drinks. And no Women even come in.
I have seen this done over and over with the very same negative results.
Yet, when I do a Ladies Night and 250 Show up with no drink specials, Owners are overwhelmed, as they should be. You can't romance Women with Price, but you can capture them with "WOW".

My Response: Yes,Stick with being a Mobile DJ, expand and enhance your DJ Presentation for bookings and gigs you do.Take your Mobile DJ Business and grow it with more DJs and very exciting Performances that include Lights, Video, Special Effects and Interaction with the Group you are spinning for. That is where you should be focused. So Called Club Promoters who are given a Club's dead night and think that by posting on Face Book, Texting, passing out lame flyers are going to bring people to a Club, on a night they are already dead,FIND OUT THE HARD WAY, THEY CAN'T BRING ANYONE IN.
You have the ability to take your Mobile DJ Business and add Theater, Special Effects, A Brand New Movie Tie In, Take your Mobile DJ Business to a total Entertainment Production. Make Wedding Receptions more than just dancing and toasting, add "WOW FACTORS". Your the TOTAL ENTERTAINMENT FOCUS so it is, incumbent upon you, to blow their minds and give them a Reception to Remember.

Hi Rich, My Owner, doesn't feel live music pays. We are located 200 miles North of _____________ There are three bars in our town. Most of our residents do not come to bars.
We really need some promotional ideas that do not cost money or very little. our bar owner doesn't want to spend money or very little on any promotions. I as the bar Manager am at a loss, except for type parties. Help Please, Thanks, Sherry.
Sherry, go to the other bars in your Community and apply for a job. You can't say "Presto" and create "FUN", design "WOW" or bring in "FAB", without the proper funding.
Owners who do not want to spend to have nights that give them crowds that drink, eat, dance, party and stay, are also totally out of touch with the year 2014.
Let your Owner do his own promotions, because unfortunately, with his attitude his bar is going to fail.
You do not need Live Bands to be packed on Wednesday Night and do over $4000.
Being Bar Manager does not mean presenting Promotions that "do not cost money or very little money". Sherry, it's not how much a Promotion costs, it's how much you will generate in cash?
But, Your Owner is out of touch. As I said, too many Owners do not "GET IT".
They would rather suffer than SOAR.
They are penny wise and pound foolish.
Sherry, be happy, work at a Bar with an Owner who understands the dynamics of operating a bar in this climate, reaching out to Millennials.
There is no way for me to give you any "WOW FACTORS", that you Owner is going to support and insure they are done properly, so that the Results are Spectacular.
He is not that type of Owner.
Sherry, Walk Away, but not before you have another job lined up.
So, you become a bartender instead of a Bar Manager, you will make real money and be in an environment that is ideal for you, rather than is totally negative.
