The key to what I do is, simply evaluate the local bar and restaurant scene, review all the competition, carefully notice what nobody else is doing, what is under developed, and then look to create a monopoly!!!

Too Many Owners to set in their ways. Too afraid of change. Too many lacking self confidence.
When I bought the biggest Nightclub in my area, I named the Corporation," We Took The Shot", why? Because you always take the "SHOT".
Some of you may not get it, understandable, seeing that you operate as if it's 1994 and not 2014.
In fact here is a perfect example, I never use real names, or names of cities or clubs that People send me in emails.
So here goes a typical email from an Owner, still in "RADIO LAND".
I read your article on radio doesn't work. I have one decent Tuesday with radio. Spend $2000.00 live Remote. Cheap drinks being 2.50 a drink. Welcome to My City.
Cheap prices ugh. We do approximately 10000 in sales. Make a little money. However when I stop the radio I take a 25 percent hit on sales. Any ideas?

MY RESPONSE: Sam, First, to pay a radio station $2000 for a Tuesday Night Remote is over the top and out of the ballpark.
No Club has live Remotes on Tuesday Nights, that Remote, should have cost you a $1000 plus talent fee, let us not forget the DJ in addition to his paycheck, is paid by you a "Talent Fee" for his appearance, even though he is not Ryan Seacrest, or Howard Stern, and the fact, he will be at a car dealer Saturday afternoon doing a live Remote to try and sell cars.
Anyway, your Tuesday Night, giving away the bar @ $2.50 a drink, and then when your Night should have taken on a life of it's own, I mean your format is the same every Tuesday, in most Cities, when a Week Night is established by a bar or club, and it builds and is suddenly the place to go, it remains that way for quite some time.
The fact, that you still have to rely on a live Remote on a Tuesday Night to pump $2.50 drinks is very telling.
It tells me, you have no "WOW" at all, no "FUN" of any kind, that you simply are like the movie "Groundhog Day" you do the same thing every Tuesday Night.But to see a 25% drop when you are not hosting the live Remote, it's not the radio that is hurting you. It's YOU<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<
Radio is not your answer. Your giving away your drinks, your paying $2000 for a live remote on a Tuesday Night, and you offer nothing, absolutely nothing that is "FUN", is "FAB", is "WOW".
It's the same basic, boring, beaten down format every week.

YOUR JUST GOING THROUGH THE MOTIONS.YOUR WEB SITE HAS NO "ENERGY", NOT A SINGLE WORD ABOUT HALLOWEEN. NOTHING ABOUT THE NIGHT BEFORE THANKSGIVING, OR THE NIGHT BEFORE CHRISTMAS EVE, OR THE BIGGEST NIGHT OF THE YEAR, "NEW YEAR'S EVE". ABSOLUTELY NOTHING.It's time to think outside your "bubble", to expand, enhance, excite and ignite your imagination with what your entire Community longs for?

People use that word, when they are overwhelmed with enthusiasm for what they see, they hear, they experience.
It's not about the price of a drink, while you claim your entire area is all about how much a drink costs, that's not the reality of what's going on.
That's the perception that every competing bar and club is putting out there, because that's all they have.
That's their game, that's their hail Mary pass.
That's their only bar begging basic to do business.
But, it's not yours. Don't be a copy cat, don't be a follower.
Break out from the predictable and create the "WOW" that nobody else is doing and "OWN IT". That's how you stand out, and stand above all others. It's all I know how to do.
It's not about hoping some club promoter can do it, because they all follow the same process, a DJ, Texting, Flyers, a VIP List, targeting the wrong crowd, bringing in ten men to every one really hot woman, Why? You don't rely on outsiders to do what you the Primary "Insider" can do far more effectively and financially profitable. FOR A RESTAURANT TO BE A NIGHT LIFE ADVENTURE AFTER FOOD SERVICE, JUST MOVE THE TABLES & CHAIRS OUT OF THE WAY!
Never has it been more easier for a Full Service Restaurant after it's Food Service ends at 9pm or 10pm to transform into the "Hot Spot" around.
I am simply talking about four Nights a Week, Wed- Sat. and when Monday is a Holiday, opening Sunday Night.
Why just close at the end of Food Service, when the Bar you have is a Money Making Machine?
Especially going into these "SOLID MONEY MONTHS"?
I had a 4500 square foot Deli contact me, that just had gotten a full bar liquor license.
The Owners wanted to know should they enter the Night Life Category, and how do they go about it.
First, I advised them, move all the tables, chairs, and other floor fixtures that can be removed, off the floor. Then you focus on just Four Nights a week, Wed. Thurs. Fri. Sat. and of course Sundays when Monday is a legal Holiday.
You launch with "Creating Something Brand New", not with cheap drinks, free cover, same local DJ and same local bands.
You take Your entire Night Life Culture by total Shock and Awe.
Out of nowhere, you are attracting Millennial Women and Men who spend.
You ask HOW? Ah, that's what I have created, designed and captivated.
"The WOW FACTORS".
I remember taking an upscale Seafood/Steak Restaurant on the Water, that never ever considered Night Life, so we moved the tables, chairs, service stations after food service ended, brought in the VIP Bottle Service Section, because, there is serious money to be made from "VIP BOTTLE SERVICE", when done totally different than everyone is accustomed to.
There is nothing you do, that is predictable, that is the same way.
We are preparing to enter 2015, it's all about Technology inside your bar, club, restaurant, gentlemen's club, sports bar, beach bar, hotel bar, and banquet center.
Speaking of a Businessman recently paid $3million for a building that housed both a steakhouse on one end and a two in one nightclub on the other.
The new Banquet Facility Owner said in the newspapers, "I have seen the other Banquet Venues, and I know exactly what they are missing, and I am going to offer everything they don't".
But, while this Banquet Facility Owner remodeled the inside with lots of dark wood and the usual Banquet look, he left the majority of the outside of the building, just plain white paint. It has no Identity, no style, no "WOW" at all. He put very little investment in the outside of the building, which is located on a very, very heavily traveled road, so the brand new Banquet Facility is missing out on all that traffic visibility.
It looks awful when you pass by, instead of EYE POPPING.
Their sign should have been a "Jumbo tron", instead of the antiquated old letter reader board.
THEY should of held a HORRORWEEN Friday Night, and taken in easily, $10,000. When a Banquet Venue has a down night, they need to take the night and create a Theme, generate a Concept, thus packing their Rooms.
Banquet Venues cannot just rely on Not for Profits, Bridal Receptions, Private Parties, School Homecomings & Proms.
But, as usual, So Many Owners from Bars to Banquet Venues know it all, and instead of having an open mind, analyzing the logic behind "WOW", "FUN" and "FAB", they continue on their own path to poor results. As this year comes to an end, and this Month ends with the second biggest night of the year, being the Night Before Thanksgiving, far too many bars, clubs, sports bars, bar and grilles, gentlemen clubs, restaurants with night life, are suffering. Not because of the economy, that is a lame excuse.
It's because all these venues that are slow, are doing nothing, FRESH, nothing DIFFERENT, nothing NEW. Just going through the basic grooves.
They can blame anyone, anything, anywhere, but the bottom line is, it's your Place, you made and make all the decisions, you fail to realize that for every $1 you spend in Marketing, in Entertainment, you make back $10 or you don't do it. Simple Enough Mantra to operate by, but difficult to do for those who are not consistent, disciplined and focused.

I've been doing some great research on marketing ideas and also consulting. Your Site was the most comprehensive and in depth on the entire Internet.
We have an amazing Gentlemen's Club, that needs a great 6-12month plan behind them to maximize on the profits . It would be great to hear to you in regards to the venues we have and then create a plan for us to once again have the place busy 4-5 nights a week
Samuel, First , your Face Book Page is being used to promote your Gentlemen's Club, but also to solicit Dancers to hire at the same time.
Never ever, put it out there to the General Public, that your Promotions, are here, and at the same time put a huge banner seeking "DANCERS WANTED".
Don't let the Customers you want to frequent your Gentlemen's Club, know that you are having difficulty in finding Dancers.
"Exotic Dancers" who are beautiful, drug free, reliable, dependable, and exciting in their performances are not found by posting a huge banner on your Gentlemen's Club Face Book Site, nor on your regular web site.
Samuel, there is a method to the madness of operating Gentlemen Clubs, you don't drink as the Owner, you don't involve yourself with your dancers romantically, you are a businessman not a drinking, womanizing, carefree Owner or you fail.
I proposed 26 Points of Power, that you were suppose to review and contact me ASAP.
Instead you chose to read them, and not enact them.
So the issues you had, you still have.
You are putting your EGO ahead of your Business and that is what causes you to lose tens of thousands of dollars monthly.
I proposed to pack your "Gentlemen's Club" four nights a week and Sundays, when Monday is a legal Holiday.
Your current mode of operating has way too many "ISSUES", too much "DRAMA" and no consistent Game Plan, Set Of Strategies or Marketing Paths.

I've been through your Site and you discuss format. We've been established for over 12 years and been kicking everyone's butt out here, then A nightclub that we have sent bankrupt 3 times reopened and hit us Hard. Now we've done the dreaded remodeling to good success on Saturday but we cannot take our Friday nights back. Any suggestions??
MY RESPONSE: Lawrence, your Club is "standing still".
Instead of launching a Fresh Format to go along with your "Dreaded Remodeling" which was really needed, you simply took your old Format and inserted it in this beautiful new Remodel.
The only difference in your Club over the 12 years, you have owned it, is the LOOK.
You did nothing different to "INVIGORATE" the New Club.
While your Saturday Nights are "Good", your Friday Nights are "Dead".
Friday Night is a "GIVEN" if your not busy on Friday Night, you have significant image, concept, format, marketing issues.
You sound a bit burnt out, frustrated, and disappointed.
But the "Crowd" starts and stops with YOU.
Offering drinks "Buy 1 Get 1 Free" is BAR BEGGING.
Letting everyone in for free before Midnight is Cover Charge Crawling.
Both are signs of total despair.
You can't build a night, by trying to discount your way to a crowd.
You REMODEL, but you dropped the "WOW" completely on what happens inside your Club.
You use radio, which regardless of the cheap expense, is doing nothing to draw the right crowd.
Yawn................radio is OVAH.
Your Social Media Presence is very weak.
You omit far too many Major Social Media Elements.
You let your ego prevent you from embracing much needed "INVIGORATING".
"You don't compete, You create something NEW".
You have a bankrupt club that finally has the right Ownership and is taking your customers away.
What are you prepared to do about it?

You can't just let Chain Restaurants, Chain Bar and Grilles, Chain Breakfast/Lunch Groups offer the Technology to use your Connection to Friends, Family and Business.
"STARBUCKS" has free WiFi.
You should stop saying "NO" and start offering what this Generation and these times demand.
Bar Owners, of course you should be offering free WiFi. You must keep up with the current elements of the Food and Beverage Business.
You didn't want Craft Beers, yet they are generating billions in sales.
You didn't want Infused Liquors yet, they account for over 22% of all bar drinks served.
You didn't want to serve Bar Bites that were not the usual fried foods, but you saw the sales that came,when you started serving a Fresh New Bar Bites Menu.
You never thought you could charge a cover for live entertainment, instead of placing the burden on the bar, but you found out the Process to implement and you now have a Cover on weekend nights.
So, now it's time for Free WiFi.

CREDIT CARD PROCESSING AND BORROWING
Always first approach your bank, and ask if they have a Merchants Service Department. When you put your Merchant Services with your main Bank, you are building a rapport, and you are also adding free bank service fees on your main account.
When you "Farm Out" your Merchant Services to an outside processor, you have no relationship with, you have no connection to, you are dealing with strangers. They probably do not even have a local office in your area.
All they want is your transaction business.
They will promise you lower rates, free this, cheap that, but the bottom line is, Go to Your Bank, speak with the Branch Manager and no one else.
Ask Your Branch Manager to set up a meeting with the Merchant Services Rep from the Bank ASAP.
You want to have your credit card transactions after processing, to deposit those monies in your main checking account.
Make your Credit Card Processing easy and simple.
Let the Bank's Merchant Services Department sell you or rent you the equipment you need at next to nothing rates.
Now, never ever, borrow money based on your Credit Card Transactions.
Do not fall for that desperate method of getting cash.
Do not get involved with that financial fiasco.
Be Smart, if you need a cash infusion, go to a Family Member who is Cash Strong, a Friend who is Cash Heavy, But never ever secure your Credit Card Transactions tied to a Cash Advance.
