YOU HAVE NEON BEER SIGNS HANGING WHICH ARE OUTDATED AND SERVE NO PURPOSE. YOU HAVE HAND WRITTEN CHALK BOARD SIGNS, WHICH ARE TACKY AND LOWER THE QUALITY OF THE PERCEPTION OF YOUR BAR AND GRILLE.
WHAT YOU SHOULD HAVE HANGING ARE "HUGE" PICTURES OF CROWDS OF BEAUTIFUL WOMEN PARTYING IN YOUR "BAR AND GRILLE", DINING IN YOUR "BAR AND GRILLE", DANCING IN YOUR "BAR AND GRILLE". YOUR PRICING IS WRONG. YOUR MENU IS WAY TOO LOADED WITH ITEMS YOU DON'T EVEN RECEIVE ORDERS FOR.
YOUR BEERS ARE THE BASICS THAT HAVE BEEN AROUND FOREVER, BUT ARE NO LONGER SELLING LIKE THEY USE TO.Look, between the Drama of every day business, bills, hassles, employee issues, maintenance problems, you have zero time or strength to create. Let me do what you can't and pack your bar four nights a week.You do not even need a Dance Floor, we will just create a quick dance mode.
What you have to think about, I have already done. Every single Week from Wed-Sat and even Sundays with NFL coming back is MONEY MAKING TIME.
What if you had all the EXPERTISE you needed to Master Social Media Marketing, to present what no other competing bar is hosting, to boast of being the first and best at what no other bar even thought of, to have 60% Women ratio vs 40% Men instead of the reverse, what about selling Top Shelf and Call Brands, Shotpakinc.com and Craft Beers that no other bar has?
All this is not only possible it is perfect for your present situation.
The Monster of Labor Day Weekend is coming up fast, we are talking about $10,000 for the three Nights.
But not with a local band, cheap beer, free cover, and the same old usual, predictable Holiday Weekend.
Your lack of action is causing a reaction of losing fist fulls of money.
You can hope someone is going to come in curse at you, then make nice with you, then remodel your bar, and your going to be in the Money, but you and I both know that is not going to happen. The Criteria for being on this show is tight and tough. Why put your Family, Partners, Employees, Friends, through this DRAMA? Stop listening to radio sales people. Radio is dead for bars, clubs, restaurants, bar & grilles.
Only Sports Bars with creative Promotions see any results from Sports Radio.
Newspaper is over with. The majority of daily newspaper readers are online reading their daily edition. Face Book alone does not pack your place with the right demographics. Generic postings are ineffective.
Bar Owners, Sports Bar Owners, Lounge Owners, Hotels with Pool Owners, Bowling Centers with Bar Owners, don't lose tens if not hundreds of thousands of dollars this Summer.
Don't borrow against your house.
Don't use your kids college funds.
Don't borrow from Family.
Don't let it get that bad.
STOP NOW, Call me if you see biz sliding and we will turn it around.
But don't be a reality bar show Owner with $600,000. in debt. Taxes, Rent, Purveyors, and on and on. The moment you see biz slide, STOP, and contact me.
Don't book the same local bands, nobody cares.
Don't waste your money on radio, nobody listens nor comes in.
Stop doing what you always have done, it's time for a major,high impact Change.
You don't need to remodel to capture the lion's share of your market. You need to INVIGORATE your bar.
Stop cursing and arguing with your Partner who put up a huge chunk of $ and thought he struck Gold before he even went into the mine.
I love this business, because all I know how to do is pack BARS, BAR & GRILLES, SPORTS BARS, NIGHTCLUBS, LOUNGES, RESTAURANTS WITH A BAR, BOWLING CENTERS WITH A BAR, HOTEL POOLS WITH A BAR, GENTLEMEN CLUBS WITH BARS.
BUT THERE IS A DICHOTOMY THAT MUST BE IMPLEMENTED FOR ANY OF THE ABOVE ESTABLISHMENTS TO REALLY THRIVE. IT TAKES TOTAL FOCUS, IMMENSE DEDICATION AND ABOVE ALL WORK.
WHEN A CLUB PROMOTER, (YUCK) COMES IN, PROMISES YOU A PACKED NIGHT, AND YOU GO FOR IT, ONLY TO WISH YOU NEVER DID, DON'T DO IT AGAIN.

 BUT PEOPLE AREN'T SPENDING THIS SUMMER!

Americans are paying more for movie tickets than ever before.
Americans are paying more for Concession candy, popcorn and drinks than ever before.
Your problem is they are not paying at your bar, because you offer nothing.
You are so consumed with your ego and stubbornness, that you don't realize your burying your own bar.
Young People, Middle Age People, Boomers are spending.
Food and Beverage Sales are soaring.
Chains are opening new locations everywhere they can, even where they never thought they would. Independent Restaurant Groups are opening 'GastroPubs" which I have always said should be "GASTRO DANCE PUBS", but the egos out weigh the logic.
Steak sales are at their lowest since 1978.
The Food and Beverage Industry is in a Donald Trump Fluke.
Most Operators are giving away the bar, lowering lunch prices, lowering dinner prices, but, not offering any real "WOW FACTORS".
You can watch all the Bar Reality Shows you want, but there is not a single element of "WOW FACTORS" in the makeovers.
Change the name, add Top Shelf Liquor, new POS Systems, new furniture, new wall decor, add more bar wells, but when you have the same staff that is associated with the failure, why would you keep them on, for the launch of the new hopeful SUCCESS?
You never use Craigs List to hire anyone.
I watch "Five Guys Burgers" open, then "Culver's Burgers" open, then "Square One" open. The best, most outstanding Burger Best was "Culvers".
Why?
Because from the design, the atmosphere, the consumer prompt service, the quality of the burger, the fries, the overall operation is A PLUS.
"Square One" moved , from across from a Hospital and Doctors Offices, Banks, huge Realtor offices, to a location that was a nightclub and is terrible to enter and exit.
I honestly don't understand why you should spend a few hundred thousand dollars for a move that was not justified.
What was totally wrong was your branding, your marketing, your advertising. You had the biggest demographic of all three competing burger locations.
Now you don't. Before you open another location, let Rich Unger evaluate your opportunities and risks, stop listening to everyone who wants to you to invest six figures and let the EXPERT give you the heads up or down.

WHEN DJs BECOME DOWNERS!
Every DJ wants to be a SUPER DJ.
They want the accolades, the money, the stardom, the recognition, the gigs, the praise, they want to play as they call it in baseball when your in the farm leagues, in "THE SHOW".
But when a DJ has Drinking or Drug Problem, they need help. They need a serious program, with a Sponsor.
They should not be spinning and sneaking drinking or drugs.
You are not helping them, but hurting them.
When a DJ uses the F Word on your microphone they are degrading your venue. Jerry Seinfeld one of the most successful Comedians in History, never ever used that word and look where it got him, a "Billionaire".
DJs are the epicenter of your entertainment.
They as I always say should not wear baseball caps at all, but rather Fedoras or funky hats. They should not wear worn out jeans and a tshirt.
Why as I also always say, should they dress below the level of the bar or club's own dress code.
They should not spin hip hop, it's not meant for clubs.
GO listen to Janet Jackson's new Album and spin the entire song set.
Play what packs the dance floor, if your bar or club is packed and your dance floor is not, your DJ has to GO.
 No one, no female should be in the DJ area, DJ Booths are out of style out of sync out of it.
But your DJ is getting paid to perform, not socialize.
Your DJ should have a crawl, walk, skip, run, long wooden plank with a guard rail on each side, that your DJ can run up and down energize your crowd. It should have LED Multi colored lights. How many clubs have that near you? NONE.
Your DJ should not be on their cellphone, not at all. They are being paid to spin, mix, sample, and amaze your patrons.
Texting by a DJ during his gig, one warning, next time, go work the window at Wendy's.
DJs don't make a club, a Club makes a club.
People don't walk into a club and look to see who is spinning, they listen to what the genre of music is, if they can relate to it, they stay, if not they bolt.
DOWNER DJS are DONE.

Why Doesn't your Bar Serve Food?
You do not even need a kitchen for Tapas or small plates of great tastes. Your losing thousands of dollars by not serving great tasting, farm fresh, family grown local foods.
Don't want to do it? Fine lease it out, let someone who is experienced, who YOU can truly verify their credentials and background and credit history do it.

From all the Reviews I read about Vegas Clubs, the worse complaints, the very ugly remarks are all about the Door personnel.
Why do Hosts @ the door, think they can talk down to Tourists who paid to enter the club and have a table reservation?
Why do Hosts @ the door, have to curse and play big shot, when they are the first impression a Club makes, and yet,they have a Napoleon Syndrome, where they have to exercise excessive, abusive behavior towards people who flew thousands of miles, are all excited and get treated like garbage?
This is the sign of poor, poor management.
Any Male Host that is rude, crude, lewd or just lame should be let go in a NY Minute.
Especially in VEGAS.

Why Don't You Have Any Very Pretty Women Working At Your Bar, Bar and Grille, Club, Lounge, Restaurant?
I like a Cafe/Bistro that employs all Male Servers in black tshirts and jeans.
Very Charming,nice Gentlemen, but they look hideous.
There is a major segment of Feminine Presence missing from an all Male Staff.
First of all women sell far more upscale food and beverage than men do.
Second, Female patrons feel comfortable seeing women working in the establishment.
Women are paramount to a very successful food and beverage or beverage only operation.
You have "TWIN PEAKS", "TILTED KILT" "HOOTERS" ( way out of touch with today's "culture", but they all have Women Staff.
I had two new to the business Gentlemen who wanted to go straight on against "Hooters" but in a Nightclub Environment. So I created "BIGGINS". The name said it all, but, the Female Staff wore skorts and halter Tops, there was a strict dress code enforced.For both Staff and Customers.
A cover charge for everyone, and of course
Drink
Food
FUN
FAB
WOW
MUSIC
The place was packed four nights a week, Wednesday through Saturdays. A Line outside formed at 8pm, the Club did not open till 9am.
It was a smooth, well run, very profitable format.
The Owners made more money than in their wildest dreams.
Owners from other Clubs were coming in on a regular basis, I had to laugh, watching them pay the cover charge.
As for "Hooters", oh they did their usual day biz, but @ night they were not hooting. We took about 45% of their later night business from 9pm on.
It was so easy, when you have Owners who respect an Expert, and simply do as they are recommended to and not imply ego.
The Owners employed well dressed, Black Belt Karate Champions, so there was very, very rarely any kind of incident.
In fact none of these Gentlemen looked the role, which helped for them to just blend in, and not stand out as lame, outdated "SECURITY" tshirt Tough Guys. YUCK.................... ONE of the biggest problems in this industry is a lack of consistency. Sure you can post POLICY Signs, have employees sign Rules of Employment Agreements, but the bottom line is, without Respect, Regard, and Real Leadership from Ownership to Management, you have NOTHING.

HOW A FLORIDA  NIGHTCLUB BECAME A BUFFALO BILLS MUST BE AT PLACE TO WATCH GAMES.
 AN OWNER FROM BUFFALO, CONTACTED ME, HE LOVED THE "BILLS".
AND HE DIDN'T CARE THAT EVERY "SPORTS BAR" AROUND FEATURED THEIR GAME ON THEIR "DIRECT TV FOOTBALL PACKAGE", AS WELL AS THE TAMPA BAY BUC GAMES.
 HE WANTED TO OWN SUNDAY BUFFALO BILL GAMES.
   so I had a ten foot by ten foot huge sign erected that read "THE BILLS PLAY HERE", we put the sign out only on Sundays, so we didn't have any problems with local government authorities.
We bought the wings, the sauce, the beef on Weck, every good ingredient directly from Buffalo.
I also ordered Buffalo Bills Merchandise for raffles. I went on every social media platform that listed personal preferences, and found fan after fan of the "Buffalo Bills" in our area.
I contacted each one of them. Word Spread, the club was packed , wall to wall, I even did the "BEEF ON WECK" Prepping.
It was truly a FIRST. But it showed the Owner, we could do anything at his Club, no club promoter, no radio, no print, just a powerful Social Media Campaign, most important no less than a MONTH in advance.
He was in "Buffalo Bills Paradise".
Of course, when they lost, everyone was miserable.
Yes, we had our servers all wear "Buffalo Bill Jerseys".

I can view a movie, listen to song, watch a TV show, look at a piece of art, admire fashion and derive from that vision a major CONCEPT.

 WHY Don't Cooks & Chefs Dress Like Cooks & Chefs instead of auto mechanics?
From the "Bar Reality" show to almost every bar and grille to restaurant I patronize, why aren't the kitchen staff in uniforms?
If your going to serve food,if you take pride in what you serve, if patrons keep coming back for what you serve, why aren't you dressing like you respect what you cook, prepare and serve?
If your Kitchen Staff dresses like Slobs, what does your Kitchen look like, your walk ins, your fryers, your hood, your floors?
Your Kitchen Staff should be dressed UP not down. Your Kitchen should shine not smell.
This goes for your servers as well.
The days of tshirts and jeans even for beach side seafood eateries is OVAH. Stop dressing in the past.
If a Server dresses in unprofessional clothing, what do you expect their attitude to be on the floor? No more cell phones on the floor. NO means NO.
NO Smoking in the back then coming back out on the floor, with smoker's breath, yuck.
It's all in your presentation.

Sadly, a very smart developer opened up a huge franchise food unit, then he was talked into opening another smaller food venue in a very poor location.
They both closed down. He had no business opening either Eatery up.
Let me ask you, who are you listening to Real Estate Agents who want you to buy or lease and will say anything? A former Owner who is getting out,but urging you to get in? Your Spouse who knows nothing about this business? Family, Friends who have no clue?

STEALING KEGS OF BEER, I MEAN ALMOST 30 KEGS FROM THE BACK ALLEY OF YOUR BAR, IF NOT FOR CAMERAS YOU WOULD HAVE NEVER KNOWN WHO WAS DOING IT.
A LOCAL CHAIN OF BARS, THAT PUTS IT'S EMPHASIS ON DRINKING, NOT ON DANCING, NOT ON "FUN", NOT ON "WOW", THEY HAVE NONE, JUST DRINKING. 
SO THEIR BEER KEG SYSTEM IS SET UP, WITH SPARE KEGS JUST SITTING OUT BACK READY TO BE LOADED UP AND STOLEN.
THAT IS EXACTLY WHAT HAPPENED.
I AM GLAD THE CULPRIT WAS CAUGHT, HE SHOULD MADE TO PAY RESTITUTION FAST, TO DO COMMUNITY SERVICE, BY CLEANING EVERY ONE OF THE BARS IN THIS CHAIN AND WEEKEND JAIL TIME.
I WILL NOT NAME THE CHAIN, BECAUSE THERE IS NO REASON TO. BUT LEARN FROM THIS, PROTECT YOUR BEER, ALL OF IT, GUARD YOUR LIQUOR EVERY BOTTLE, SECURE YOUR WINE. ONLY ONE PERSON PER SHIFT SHOULD HAVE ACCESS.
CAMERAS ARE A MUST. What you miss, I see in a NY Minute, because I don't have to worry about all your DRAMA, HEADACHES and HEARTBURN, I have just one Mission, Packing your place FOUR NIGHTS A WEEK. RichUnger@promotingnightclubs.com
The Months of September, October, November, December account for a huge portion of your business, don't let them pass you by this year.

Finally, if you have a VODKA BRAND that is fairly new, not selling the increased ten thousand cases it should by projections, the bean counters made, contact me, the reason is too much wasted marketing money, and not enough on premise exposure.
