He was out of breath, and totally mesmerized.
Why do it your way, when you already know the End Of The Night's Revenue, before the Night is even over?
Do it my Way, and "JUMP" at the End Of The Night, because of what you never experienced before.
JUST A SIMPLE TIP::::::::::DECORATE FOR EVERY HOLIDAY!I DON'T MEAN HANGING A FEW HOLIDAY ITEMS.
I DO MEAN MAKING A HOLIDAY ATMOSPHERE.
RENOVATING SHOULD INCLUDE "INVIGORATING"
A RESTAURANT OWNER RECENTLY SPENT $450,000. ON REMODELING HIS 7,000 SQUARE FOOT, WATERFRONT RESTAURANT. HE PUT IN NEW PLUMBING, NEW ELECTRIC, A NEW FRONT, NEW LANDSCAPE, NEW KITCHEN EQUIPMENT, NEW CARPETING, A NEW BAR, NEW TABLES, NEW CHAIRS, NEW FIXTURES,UPDATING HIS OUTSIDE AREA, BUT WHAT HE DIDN'T INSTALL, AND WHAT WOULD OF PAID FOR THE ENTIRE "REMODEL", WAS A "DANCE FLOOR".
HE DIDN'T NEED SPECIAL LICENSING, HE DIDN'T REQUIRE DIFFERENT ZONING, HE DIDN'T HAVE TO APPLY FOR ANY LOCAL OR STATE EXEMPTION TO SIMPLY PUT IN A "DANCE FLOOR".
THAT "DANCE FLOOR" WOULD HAVE GENERATED HUGE REVENUE, PROVIDED, HE EXECUTED A BRANDING OF NIGHTLIFE, FAR TOO MANY RESTAURANT OWNERS, ESPECIALLY UPSCALE EATERY OWNERS, IGNORE, AND DON'T UNDERSTAND HOW MUCH SERIOUS CASH FLOW IS IN THE NIGHTLIFE.
RESTAURANTS, SIMPLY HAVING A BAR, WITHOUT THE ACCOMPANYING "FUN", ARE MISSING OUT.
THEY ARE MISSING OUT ON THE MOVERS AND SHAKERS OF THEIR COMMUNITY DOING MORE THAN JUST DINING AT THEIR UPSCALE RESTAURANT.
THEY ARE MISSING OUT ON THE BEAUTIFUL WOMEN AND MEN WHO SPEND, PARTYING AT THEIR UPSCALE RESTAURANT, WHEN FOOD SERVICE ENDS AT 9PM OR 10PM.

IF YOU CAN'T ATTRACT WOMEN, IT'S BECAUSE THE IMAGE, THE BRAND, THE PERCEPTION OF YOUR PLACE IS TOTALLY NEGATIVE.
IF YOU DON'T HAVE A COVER CHARGE, YET YOU FEATURE LIVE ENTERTAINMENT, THEN YOUR PLACING THE COST OF THAT ENTERTAINMENT ON YOUR BAR.

YOU CAN BUY DOZENS OF BOXES OF WINE, EARN AGAIN THOUSANDS OF POINTS BY PURCHASING THE BOXED WINE, YET THE DOLLAR CERTIFICATES "TOTAL WINE & MORE " SEND YOU, IS INVALID TOWARDS THE PURCHASE OF BOXED WINE.
A COMPLETE CONTRADICTION AND SLAP IN THE FACE TO THE VERY CUSTOMER, THAT IS LOYAL, IS BUYING BOXED WINE, IS BUILDING UP POINTS BY SPENDING THAT MONEY, BUT BOXED WINES ARE EXCLUDED FROM THEIR LOYALTY PROGRAM.
I CONTACTED THE TWO BROTHERS WHO OWN "TOTAL WINE & MORE", THEY DECLINED TO RESPOND.
WORSE PR MOVE, IS IGNORING AN OVERALL CUSTOMER CONCERN.
WHAT YOU WANT TO DO IS IMPLEMENT A "K.I.S.S." LOYALTY PROGRAM.
AKA, "KEEP IT SIMPLE STUPID".
NEVER MAKE IT ABOUT "POINTS ACCRUED", IT'S TOO CONFUSING, AND PATRONS ARE VERY WEARY OF SUCH PROGRAMS, ALL OF THE PUBLICITY ON "LOYALTY POINTS PROGRAMS" HAS BEEN TOTALLY NEGATIVE".
FORGET POINTS, DINING GUESTS, DRINKING GUESTS, DO NOT WANT TO KEEP TRACK OF POINTS THEY EARN.
THEY WANT TO ACTUALLY BE REWARDED FOR THEIR LOYALTY.
WANT ME TO PUT TOGETHER A SIMPLISTIC, YET CREATIVE "LOYALTY PROGRAM" FOR YOU THAT ACTUALLY DOUBLES, IF NOT TRIPLES YOUR REPEAT BUSINESS?
A "SEAFOOD EATERY" THAT WANTED TO BUILD UP THEIR LUNCH SEGMENT, ASKED ME FOR A SIMPLIFIED LOYALTY CONCEPT.
I CAME UP WITH MY "AS SIMPLE AS YOU CAN", CONCEPT.
YOU ENJOY TEN,"SIT DOWN" LUNCHES AT THIS "SEAFOOD EATERY", THE 11TH IS ON THEM.
THEY GAVE PATRONS A CARD, THEY HAD A VERY SPECIAL HOLE PUNCH, IMPOSSIBLE TO DUPLICATE. THE PATRON WOULD ENJOY LUNCH, HAVE HIS CARD PUNCHED, AND WHEN
THEY SAT FOR LUNCH 10 TIMES, THEIR 11TH WAS FREE.
THEY WERE THEN GIVEN A NEW CARD, TO BEGIN THEIR "LUNCH LOVERS LOYALTY CLUB" ALL OVER AGAIN.
THEIR LUNCH BUSINESS INCREASED BY 45%. THEY SERVE LUNCH MONDAY- SATURDAY. THEY ARE CLOSED ON SUNDAYS.
THEY HAD TRIED "GROUPON" AND IT WAS A DISASTER.
THE REASON SOME LOYALTY PROGRAMS ARE SUCCESSFUL AND OTHERS FAIL, IS BECAUSE YOU REALLY HAVE TO GIVE YOUR PATRONS A LEGITIMATE & INCENTIVE AT THE END OF THEIR SPENDING.
DURING THE HOLIDAYS, I HAVE ALWAYS ADVISED RESTAURANTS TO GIVE $125 IN GIFT CARDS FOR $100 GIFT CARD PURCHASE.
I HAVE SEEN RESTAURANTS SELL OVER $1000 IN GIFT CARDS FROM LUNCH TO HAPPY HOUR ALONE, IN JUST ONE DAY,IT'S ALL IN HOW YOUR "BRAND IT", "MARKET IT", "PROMOTE IT"
IT'S ALL ABOUT HOW YOU MARKET YOUR GIFT CARDS, HOW YOUR STAFF PRESENTS THE UNIQUE "GIFT CARD GIFT BACK TO YOU"CONCEPT.
I WAS IN A RESTAURANT, WHERE THE SERVER WAS SO CONFUSING ABOUT THE "GIFT CARD PROGRAM", THE SERVER RARELY SOLD ANY GIFT CARDS.
PATRONS WANT THE CUT AND DRY, CRYSTAL CLEAR OFFER, EXPLAINED TO THEM IN VERY UNDERSTANDABLE LANGUAGE.
DON'T MAKE AN EASY GIFT CARD PROGRAM INTO ROCKET SCIENCE. DO IT THE "RICHIE WAY" AND YOU WILL SEE VERY VIABLE CASH REVENUE IN RETURN.
AMERICA WANTS MORE THAN A DRINK @ A BAR, THEY WANT "FOOD", NOT THE USUAL FRIED ARRAY, BUT SEAFOOD, FRESH NEW DISHES. BAR PATRONS WANT "FUN", THEY HAVE THROWN DARTS, SANG KARAOKE, PLAYED POOL, GUESSED @ TRIVIA, IS THAT ALL YOU HAVE? TODAY, it's a totally different bar scene. Just in the past year, 6,185 new Restaurants, many with bars, have opened in the USA.
Add the zoom of Fast Casual drink/food restaurants, brew pubs, you have a major challenge to the bars of the past. They are closing, because they can't grasp "CHANGE".
Too many Bar Owners, throw in the bar rag, and simply close. WHY? They should "INVIGORATE" their bar to be current, rather than be known as a bar of the past.
It defies the Bar Biz to give up....................................................
