THEY OFFER NO "FUN", SO THEREFORE, PEOPLE ARE GOING FROM CLUB TO CLUB LOOKING FOR SOMETHING THAT NO OTHER CLUB HAS.
THE POOLS OFFER NOTHING NEW.
THE BARS THE SAME.
VEGAS HAS A WAY OF THROWING SIX AND SEVEN FIGURES AT DESIGN, ARCHITECTURE AND THEN ROLLING THEIR EYES AT THE LACK OF BUSINESS.
SO THEY SUFFER AND THEIR STOCK GOES DOWN, AND UPPER MANAGEMENT BLAMES MIDDLE MANAGEMENT, WHO IN TURN FIRE PEOPLE WHO HAVE NO ABILITY OR AUTHORITY TO DO ANYTHING TO CHANGE THE DOWNWARD SPIRAL.
SOME HOTEL CHAINS OPERATE IN BANKRUPTCY, SOME ARE ON THE VERGE OF IT.
IT'S NOT HOW MUCH $ YOU INVEST IN YOUR BAR, CLUB, SPORTS BAR, BEACH BAR, BAR & GRILLE, IT'S WHERE YOU SPEND THE MONEY, THAT IS GOING TO GENERATE REVENUE BACK TO YOU, THAT MATTERS MOST. IT'S ALL ABOUT A "RE-SET".
I CAN LOOK AT A 20,000 SQUARE FOOT VENUE AND TELL YOU IN FIVE MINUTES, EVERY SINGLE MISTAKE, OVERSIGHT, LACK OF, THAT IS COSTING THAT VENUE HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS.
JUSTIFY, JUSTIFY, JUSTIFY EVERY PENNY YOU SPEND, INVEST, LAYOUT TO SEE MONEY COME ROLLING BACK TO YOU FROM YOUR BAR, CLUB, SPORTS BAR, BAR & GRILLE, UPSCALE RESTAURANT.
THE MOST "FUN" WAS TAKING A FIVE STAR GOURMET RESTAURANT, THAT SERVED "ORIENTAL FUSION FOOD", SPECTACULAR "PHOENIX DRAGON" PLATTERS, AND TRANSFORMING IT INTO AN UPSCALE NIGHT LIFE ENVIRONMENT AFTER 10PM. WE HAD SIX TO SEVEN WOMEN TO EVERY THREE TO FOUR MEN.
WE HAD ALL THE MOVERS AND SHAKERS. WE HAD AN OUTSTANDING DJ, I TAUGHT HIM MYSELF HOW TO TURN THEM ON AND TUNE THEM UP ON THAT DANCE FLOOR. THEN I HOSTED THE FUN. YOU COULD NOT GET IN THE PLACE. EVERYONE WAS HAPPY, THE ENTIRE STAFF WAS MAKING MONEY, WE DIDN'T JUST FILL UP THE BAR AREA THAT WAS LARGE, WE PACKED THE ENTIRE DINING ROOM THAT WAS HUMONGOUS. EVERY WEEK WE WERE CHALLENGED WITH A DIFFERENT THEME, COSTUMES, SETTING, MUSIC, MODELS, BUT IT CAME SO EASY TO US TO CREATE, WE LOVED THE CHALLENGE.
WHEN OUR ENTIRE COMMUNITY WAS HOSTING THE "OFFSHORE RACES" AND THEY HELD AN "OFFSHORE RACE PARTY" AT THE HYATT BALLROOM, I CAME UP WITH THE "ONSHORE RACE PARTY" PUT SOME RACE BOATS IN PARKING SPACES IN FRONT OF THIS UPSCALE RESTAURANT AND AGAIN AS USUAL PACKED THE PLACE.
WHEN YOUR PLACE IS HOT, YOU HAVE TO KEEP IT THAT WAY.
IT'S NOT ABOUT HOW MUCH A DRINK IS.
IT'S NOT ABOUT DRUGS OR TROUBLEMAKERS. QUITE THE OPPOSITE.
YOU PROVIDE A SAFE AND SOUND PLACE THAT PEOPLE FLOCK TO.
THIS PLACE ONLY HAD 2 FLAT SCREENS, SO I WENT OUT AND RENTED A DOZEN MORE AND POSITIONED THEM EVERYWHERE, SO THAT ANYWHERE YOU SAT, YOU WERE RIGHT ON THE 50 YARD LINE.
FOR "SUPERBOWL", A LINE OUTSIDE. FOR A PLACE, NEVER HAVING SHOWN A FOOTBALL GAME BEFORE, WE DRESSED THE FEMALE STAFF IN TEAM JERSEYS, WE HELD CONTESTS GIVING AWAY SWAG FROM EACH TEAM, WE SERVED FOOD KNOWN FROM EACH TEAM'S CITY, WE HAD OUR OWN HALF TIME LIVE SHOW, WE DID IT ALL AND MADE THE OWNER SMILE IN SHOCK.
IN THESE TIMES OF DOING BUSINESS, WHILE THE TREND IS TO OPEN SMALLER PUBS, CRAFT BARS, BAR & GRILLES, SMALL SPORTS BARS, IF YOUR HAPPY WITH MAKING "PIGGY BANK $" THEN GO FOR IT, ME, I DON'T OPEN ANY PLACE THAT WON'T HOLD LESS THAN AT LEAST 200 PATRONS PER THE FIRE CODE, WHICH MEANS 250 PLUS. I CONSTANTLY SEE "HOSPITALITY GROUPS" EXPANDING WITH SMALLER CONCEPTS, MY QUESTION IS WHY? IF YOU CAN ONLY HOLD 100 GUESTS, WHEN 200 SHOW UP, YOU ARE GOING TO LOSE ALL THAT REVENUE. WHY INVEST SUCH FASCINATING DECOR, TO HOST JUST 100 GUESTS?

THESE ARE OWNERS WHO WILL NEVER REACH THE TOP OF THE MOUNTAIN.
THE NEW OWNERS WHO ARE FULL OF ENERGY, AND HUNGRY TO SUCCEED, ARE FEARLESS IN THE MANNER IN WHICH THEY OPERATE.
"THE OLYMPICS" ARE FOR EVERY ESTABLISHMENT THAT HAS SCREENS.
