THIS GENERATION DOES NOT WANT THEIR FATHER'S OR GRANDFATHER'S BEER, AS IS EVIDENT BY THE ZOOM IN "CRAFT BEER SALES", AND THE SAME GOES FOR "SOCIAL MEDIA" PLATFORMS.
THE AGES OF 21 TO 35 WANT "SNAP CHAT" AND "INSTAGRAM", AND DO NOT WANT TO SEEK INTERACTION ON "FACE BOOK".
IF YOU THINK YOU NEED, YOU MUST, YOU HAVE TO POST YOUR EVENTS, MUSIC TALENT, SPECIALS, ON "FACE BOOK", BECAUSE THAT IS REACHING YOUR 21 TO 35 AGE POTENTIAL AGE GROUPS, YOUR TOTALLY WRONG. THOSE DAYS ARE LONG GONE.
"FACE BOOK" LOST 2.8 AMERICANS LAST YEAR 25 YEARS OF AGE AND UNDER..
SO, IF YOU THINK POSTING ON JUST 'FACE BOOK' TO REACH A MARKET, THAT IS GOING TO GENERATE A CROWD FOR YOU, YOUR TOTALLY WRONG.
"FACE BOOK" IS NOT THE "BUZZ SOCIAL MEDIA SITE" FOR THIS GENERATION.
NOW IF YOUR BAR, RESTAURANT THINKS THAT MILLENNIALS ARE NOT RELEVANT OR IMPORTANT TO YOUR BUSINESS, THEN JUST STAY WITH YOUR "FACE BOOK", BECAUSE YOU WON'T APPEAL TO THEM WITH THE USUAL.
WHY ARE YOU PAYING YOUR DJ OR A FRIEND TO HANDLE YOUR "SOCIAL MEDIA PLATFORMS", WHEN YOU DON'T HAVE A WEB SITE, YOU DON'T WANT TO SPEND THE FEW BUCKS TO HAVE ONE, YOU SOLELY RELY ON "FACE BOOK", AND YET, YOUR NOT GETTING THE HIGH RESPONSE YOU SHOULD BE, VERY SIMPLY, BECAUSE, YOUR NOT REACHING YOUR MARKET.
BECAUSE, YOUR CONTENT IS BORING.
BECAUSE, YOU HAVE NO EYE CANDY TO ATTRACT BOTH SEXES TO READ, VIEW WHAT YOU HAVE POSTED.
BECAUSE, WHOMEVER YOUR PAYING, IS JUST GOING THROUGH THE MOTIONS.
DO YOU KNOW HOW I USE TO PROGRAM MY RADIO SPOTS?
I WOULD RUN FIVE SIXTY SECOND SPOTS FROM 4PM TO 8PM IN AFTERNOON DRIVE, I WOULD RUN A DIFFERENT SPOT EACH DAY, I WOULD DO THE SPOTS MYSELF OFF THE TOP OF MY HEAD, BUT GO TO 3 DIFFERENT RECORD STORES TO FIND THE RIGHT MUSIC TO LAY UNDER MY VOICE. I WOULD CREATE "RESULT RUNNING SPOTS", THAT CREATED INSTANT RESULTS, WHEN LISTENERS HEARD THE SPOTS.
I WAS FEATURED IN MAGAZINES, NEWSPAPERS, MY VOICE WAS ONE YOU EITHER TUNED IN TURNED OFF OR TUNED OUT. THAT'S WHAT THE ST. PETERSBURG TIMES AT THE TIME SAID OF IT.
MEANTIME I WAS PACKED IN MY CLUB.
I ALWAYS ASKED FOR THE TIMES MY SPOTS RAN, TO MONITOR THE RESULTS.
TODAY WITH ONE EMPIRE OWNING ALL THE STATIONS, YOU CAN'T DO WHAT I DID, THAT IS WHY RADIO IS A TOTAL WASTE OF $.
MY VOICE WAS SO IN DEMAND, I WAS DOING SPOTS FOR CAR DEALERS, CAR WASHES, RESTAURANTS, AND THEY WERE WORKING.......................................
TODAY WE HAVE A SIXTY PLUS YEAR OLD CAR DEALER, WHO'S CLAIM TO TV AND RADIO FAME IS HAVING A SO SO LOOKING GIRL NEXT TO HIM AND HIS ENDING REMARK IS "IT'S HUGGGGGGGGE". HEY IF IT WORKS, MORE AND MORE POWER TO HIM. I HEAR SO MANY BORING, DULL, PUT YOUR FEET TO SLEEP RADIO SPOTS, I CAN'T LISTEN ANYMORE.
I MISS SCOTT SHANNON, I MISS BOB CRUZ, I MISS ALLISON STEELE. I MISS RUSS ALBUMS. I MISS SCOTT CHASE. I MISS TED WEBB ( WHO IS STILL ON WFLA).
I MISS RADIO THE WAY IT WAS MEANT TO BE PROGRAMMED.
BOTTOM LINE, I DON'T EVEN USE "FACE BOOK", BECAUSE THE AGE OF THE OWNER CONTACTING ME IS GOLF BOUND AND SET IN THEIR WAYS. NO THANKS.
Looking through the "Entertainment Section" of my Daily Newspaper on Thursday, when this particular insert comes out, I counted no less than 12 "Tribute Bands" performing in my area, this weekend.
"Tribute Bands" playing at outdoor events, at clubs, at performing arts centers, the rage in live entertainment is choosing the "Perfect Tribute Band" for your Market, and then taking a full month of both online and out in your Community the "Mass Marketing" to create an advance sale sell out of tix.
You should also host a Premier After Party, which includes appearances by the band.
The Seating should be VIP and like "Dine & Flick" venues, which are upscale "Eat & See" the latest movies Format.
The Food and Drink are served before the movie starts, so as not to be a distraction, then when the movie begins, all eyes are on the huge screen.
"Tribute Band" formats in clubs and other venues use the very same format.
I have produced "Rolling Stones", "Bee Gees", "Jimi Hendrix", "Elton John",
"Eagles", "Beatles" Tribute" Bands and the Clubs were sold out for each of these "Tribute Bands".
You don't just book a "Tribute Band", you find out, what the demand is, in your Community, who almost everyone wishes they could see perform.
That is whom you book, when the routing for their traveling makes sense.
It does not have to be on a Weekend Night",weeknights sell out just as often.
Again, it's all in the Social Media Blitzing, Marketing, Branding, done in a full month in advance.

THIS IS WHAT "DAVE & BUSTERS" PUTS THEIR ADVERTISING DOLLARS ON TV IN. NOT WHAT I WOULD BE DOING AS CMO OF "DAVE AND BUSTERS", BUT, THEN THIS IS WHY SO MANY CHAINS THAT WERE ON TOP KNOW FIND THEMSELVES FALLING DOWN HARD AND FAST. PERHAPS "DAVE & BUSTERS" IS AN EXCEPTION.
WITH SUMMER COMING THERE "KIDS KASH TIME" MAY CARRY THEM THOUGH WITH STRONG REVENUE.
NOW "HARDEES" IS PUSHING, PUMPING HAMBURGERS FOR $1 IN THEIR TV SPOT, AGAIN, "BURGER BEGGING". THE CHAINS OF "PANERA", "FIRST WATCH", "STARBUCKS" "SHAKE SHACK", ARE KILLING THE OLD USUAL PLACES.

FIRST, YOU CANNOT WAIT FOR LAW ENFORCEMENT RESPONSE, SECOND, YOU CAN'T START PLAYING WILD, WILD WEST. TRAINED, EXPERIENCED, AND KNOWLEDGEABLE GUN PERMITTED PERSONNEL ARE A MAJOR CONSIDERATION.
THEN YOU HAVE YOUR PARKING LOT, WHERE MORE SHOOTINGS WITH REGARD TO BARS TAKE PLACE, THAN INSIDE THE BAR.
YOU NEED MAJOR LIGHTING, YOU NEED TO CONTACT LAW ENFORCEMENT, THE MOMENT YOU HAVE THAT FEELING IN YOUR STOMACH, THAT MAJOR TROUBLE IS GOING TO TAKE PLACE.
YOU NEED TO SECURE YOUR DOORS AND AGAIN PROTECT EVERYONE.
YOUR KITCHEN DOORS LEADING OUTSIDE NEED A CAMERA AND TO BE LOCKED OR PUSHED LOCKED FROM THE INSIDE.
DON'T IGNORE SECURITY, REMEMBER THIS, THE MORE LIQUOR YOU POUR AN INDIVIDUAL, THE MORE POSSIBILITY OF A CONFRONTATION.
