MAY 2018 - HOW TO SPIN NEW GENRES OF MUSIC IN YOUR PLACE!
You can't , you just can't keep playing the same kind of music in your bar, club, over and over and over. You need to spin out new BEATS, new SOUNDS, new GENRES, but with a format that does not scare your regulars. It's easy if you tie in "FUN", "FAB" and "WOW FACTORS" along with your new as I created "POP HOP".
A Club Promoter contacted me, even though, I ask them not to. He wanted to take a Club in the "Northwest" of the USA, and introduce them to a "Miami Sound", but he didn't have the "STRATEGIES" on how to implement it?
I asked him what was your FORMAT going to be? What Party Theme, What Concept, What Social Media was he going to "OWN" for a Month in advance?
He asked if he could call me back, lol, he never did, he was in way over his head.
Bar Owners to attract fresh guests, who put down their "Smart phones" and come to your bar makes it imperative to differentiate your bar and it's experiences against the usual competing bars. who are generally presenting the same stale local bands and are so predictable.
For example right in the middle of your Room, you all of a sudden host a "POP UP BAR", with a theme tied to it. Why not? You have never ever done anything like this before. Times has changed this Generation demands change, they also demand "NEW", they don't want to be forced to drink, eat, or listen to the same music the generation before them did.
You have to be sharp, be in tune and be aware of what is happening in our Culture.
If your just going to operate the same way day in, night out, don't expect a significant increase in your business, in fact expect just the opposite.
Take "Bottle Service" for instance, you may sell a bottle of PATRON for $150-$200 even, but not like you use to.
People know how much bottles sell for in liquor stores, you need to enhance your "Bottle Service", add to it, dress it up and expand it, so your Guest is paying but also receiving alot more than any other place around you or near you.
And I don't mean free fruit, or ice, or the usual amenities.
I mean going the extra mile.
There's a "Bottle Service Battle" going on now, some places offering two bottles for $150 other places offering one bottle for just $50. If you have not had to tweak your "Bottle Service" yet, you are very fortunate. But, your time will come.
As I always say, stop buying so much Bud, Miller Product, and branch out to CRAFT BEERS that are now in total doing billions and billions of dollars.
Stop operating at a stand still.
Your so set in your ways, your losing hundreds of thousands of dollars.
Take featuring DJs, it gets so old, feature other music entertainment for a "BEAT UP".
Bring in fresh new faces, by bringing in brand new entertainment.
More bars, clubs, restaurants are going to close this year, than any other year in the last ten years.
Because they remain the same.
In my area there is a very good small Vegan and Seafood Restaurant, that finally caught on and has a great following.
But, the other restaurants in the area, did not lay over and simply let this happen, they enhanced their menu with brand new Vegan Dishes as well as Seafood Creations, so that they can go one on one with the Best Little Vegan and Seafood Eatery.
You simply don't ignore change, you go above it and dramatically "TOP IT".
That's all I know how to do.
Never have so many bars, sports bars, gentleman clubs, bar & grilles, Bowling Center and Hotel bars, totally ignored Premier Promotions.
Take the month of "MAY", you have "CINCO DE MAYO", then you have "THE KICK OFF TO SUMMER WEEKEND". But all you can do is complain and make up excuses why you do attempt to host events, and they fail? The reasons are simple, Timing, Theme, Format, Social Media, Atmosphere, Entertainment, Food, Drink, and staff enthusiasm.
You take these Special days and nights for granted, when you should make them your #1 priority.
I take a night like "Cinco De Mayo" and do give five to ten times what you normally would do on that night.
I take the Kick Off To "Summer Weekend", and for that Friday-Monday do five to ten times what you would normally do.
What you hate to do, which is be creative, and attentive to Marketing, Promotions, Unique Nights, I eat, sleep and breathe them.
As an Owner, stop losing money that is so easy to generate.
Look @ it this way, if you keep playing the same genre of music, your going to continue to draw that same demographic in.
But if you change it up and bring in new "BEATS", and "SOUNDS", you going to attract new faces, lots more Women, and you will all of a sudden stand out, instead of sitting in with the rest of your competition.
When people go out, they want to dine, drink, dance, socialize, they don't want a basic boring bar. Not the patrons that SPEND.

My name is Robert, I am currently looking at buying a nightclub that loses money. It has been here for 30 years, but the owner died and his son took it over for the last three years. The son really doesn’t want anything to do with it.He have been hands off and the decline in sales shows that.
The decline has been substantial the last three years. There is definitely a theft problem from the bar as well as door revenue.
I asked another club owner in town who recently sold their club why they sold. They had a decline in customers walking through the door. They are a smaller club with live music Friday and Saturday night.
The bar I am looking at holds 600 so if there are 280 or 300 people it looks empty.
The current owner is closing the doors shortly,due to the fact that they loose money. The overhead is quit high. The lease alone is 12,000 per month.
I do see potential and the seller is willing to carry financing but it is always scary trying to turn a business around.

Hi Robert, " It's not scary trying to turn a business around", the odds are 95% failure. You are looking @ a club that has been run down, beaten down, destroyed by it's staff, is huge, the rent is totally outrageous, and you are going to need a serious "SPECIFIC STRATEGIC STEP BY STEP EXPERT OVERVIEW" to follow, to implement, to guide you, to direct you to keep you disciplined in every move you make turning this club around.
I did it with a club that was in excellent condition, but had lost it's Winning Image.
It was easy for me, because my Partner and myself complimented each other.
We knew exactly what it was going to take and we went in non stop, 24/7 for two full months to take this club from being a 4 to a "TEN".
It was a challenge, but we knew we had it!!!

I want to crank up my Wednesdays.
But not with the same format I am is using for my weekends.

You need New Concepts, I created Ten just from your email. I can take a song, a TV show, a movie, a book, a fashion style and within no more than a half hour, design brand new Promotions that wrap around this "CRAZE", that will pack your place. Wednesday is a great night to launch.
The middle of the Week. Without putting any emphasis on cheap drinks, on anything to do with price. Vegas is so desperate for cash flow they now charge for parking, they add a new "Resort Fee" for your room, the next charge will be not a tip but a fee for the food coming to you out of the kitchen. I mean Vegas spends way too much on entertainment, on marketing, then they go cash hungry, so they think by charging for what there was no charge for, they can generate new cash? WRONG, they are doing nothing more than antagonizing Guests and creating very bad karma out there.
This Club Owner chose to do nothing, so his Wednesday Nights are still shut down.
I don't know why Owners of Clubs who know cash flow is vital are so lame in their approach to "CREATIVITY". I guess it's like asking a plumber to be a "Michael Kor" right off the bat.Please don't tell me you have no idea what that name represents? It's only the #1 label in fashion for women.
Do you know who else is brilliant cash wise, Kate Hudson she owns a huge piece of 'FABLETICS".they advertise on TV 2 pair of phenomenal designs in leggins, for $24 and they are doing millions in biz. The TV Spots are SMOKIN RESULTS.
This is why clubs and bars sit idle, their Owners and Managers are not "CREATIVE", not "ORIGINAL", not "#1". If you want people to see your thee place to be, You've got to be above the rest. That's why you email me. You listened to friends, families, strangers, salespeople and what has it gotten you?
Take "CINCO DE MAYO" which took place May 5th, you did nothing for it, ignored it, when you would of had a HUGE NIGHT, if you had planned, promoted, and PRESENTED IT.
