 IT'S OCTOBER, ROCKTOBER, SOULTOBER, DRINKTOBER, FABTOBER, DANCETOBER, FASHIONTOBER, BEERTOBER, HOOKUPTOBER, VEGGIETOBER, ARTOBER, SPORTSTOBER!
  This Month gives you the Bar Owner, The Club Owner, The Sports Bar Owner, The Bar & Grille Owner, The Gentleman's Club Owner the "Endless Promotions" to pump, promote and present and pack their place. This is the lead up Month to the Power Weeks that are ahead.
But you can't just do it.
You have to plan the Concept, use Social Media a Month in advance. For example, "Halloween", which falls on  Wednesday, October 31st. It's the ideal middle of the week Event.
In addition leading up to "Halloween" all of the "OCTOBER" Themes are here, for you to chose which is most applicable to your image, your atmosphere, your format?
Then "RUN WITH IT".
Stop, Stop making excuses for your procrastination. The reason your not making MONEY is because of YOU<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<
  Regarding MARKETING, PROMOTIONS, BRANDING, ADVERTISING, APPLY THESE ELEMENTS:

HAVE A PRETTY GOOD IDEA OF WHO YOU ARE TARGETING AND EXACTLY HOW TO REACH THEM. DON'T WASTE MONEY ON WHAT MEDIA/ADVERTING SALESPEOPLE PUSH YOU TO DO. ARE THEY GOING TO GUARANTEE YOU THAT IF YOU DON'T SEE THE RESULTS THEY ARE BRAGGING ABOUT THAT YOU WILL GET, WILL THEY PUT IN WRITING, THAT YOU DON'T HAVE TO PAY?

MAKE SURE YOU ARE REACHING YOUR MARKET, BY ENTICING PEOPLE TO BUY TICKETS IN ADVANCE, MAKE RESERVATIONS IN ADVANCE, THE "ADVANCE STRATEGY" IS TO CREATE STREET BUZZ AND TO GENERATE ACTUAL "ADVANCE ACTION".

ALWAYS HAVE ENOUGH CASH ON HAND TO EXECUTE A SUCCESSFUL DAY EVENT OR NIGHT CONCEPT. IF YOUR CURRENTLY OPERATING IN THE "RED", THEN YOU HAVE SERIOUS ISSUES TO FACE, AND YOU NEED TO DECIDE WHAT COURSE OF ACTION YOU CAN AFFORD TO TAKE AND WHAT ACTUAL ACTION YOU SHOULD TAKE, THAT MAKES SENSE. NEVER DO BUSINESS IN "DENIAL".

IF YOU HAVE A "WEAK STAFF", THEN CLEAN HOUSE. DON'T BE AN EMPLOYEE'S FRIEND, YOU SHOULD HAVE THEIR RESPECT, AND EVEN THOUGH IN THESE TIMES, IT SEEMS  MANY PEOPLE DON'T REALLY WANT TO GIVE 100%, GET RID OF THEM. DON'T LET ANYONE YOU PAY DRAG YOUR PLACE DOWN. BREAK YOUR RULES, DISRESPECT YOU, IGNORE THE TAKEN FOR GRANTED WAY, THEY SHOULD WORK, BUT GOFF OFF INSTEAD. OUT THE DOOR, HIT THE HIGHWAY, BYE BYE, YOU DON'T KEEP THE "WEAK" EMPLOYEES WHO ARE NOT HELPING BUT RATHER HURTING YOUR BUSINESS.

HAVE SOMEONE YOU CAN TRUST, YOU CAN BOUNCE IDEAS OFF OF, THAT HAS THE SAME INTERESTS YOU DO IN MAKING YOUR PLACE A HUGE SUCCESS. BE IT YOUR SPOUSE, YOUR MANAGER, IT HAS TO BE SOMEONE YOU HAVE TOTAL FAITH IN.

BELIEVE IN WHAT YOUR DOING. IF YOU HAVE NO SELF CONFIDENCE, NO POSITIVE INNER SELF TO OPERATE AND EAT, SLEEP AND BREATHE YOUR PLACE, THEN DON'T EXPECT IT TO SUCCEED. YOU ARE THE DRIVING FORCE.
I LOVE THIS BUSINESS, I GET A REAL CHARGE OUT OF DOING WHAT NO OTHER BAR HAS DONE, I MARVEL AT ATTRACTING BEAUTIFUL WOMEN AND MEN WHO SPEND. I FIND IT SO EASY TO DO.
PROBABLY BECAUSE I HAVE BEEN DOING IT FOR OVER 45 YEARS. I KNOW IT ALL. I DO IT ALL, AND I AM SUCCESSFUL , BECAUSE FAILURE IS NOT, IS NEVER AN OPTION FOR ME, NOR SHOULD IT BE FOR YOU.

THERE IS NO MOLD IN THE BAR,CLUB,RESTAURANT BUSINESS.
YOU DON'T NEED TO EVER COPY WHAT ANOTHER COMPETITOR IS DOING, WHAT YOU DO IS TOP IT.
YOU LEAD, YOU NEVER FOLLOW.
YOU NEED A GAME PLAN, A SET OF STRATEGIES, A PROMOTIONS PATH, THAT IS HOW I WORK AND WHAT I GIVE YOU.
BECAUSE, UNLESS YOU HAVE DIRECTION, EXPERTISE, GUIDANCE, YOU ARE GOING ABOUT THIS IN A "ROLL OF THE DICE" APPROACH.
THIS IS THE WORSE WAY TO RUN A BAR, OPERATE A CLUB, MANAGE A RESTAURANT, OWN A BAR & GRILLE, BE A PARTNER IN A GENTLEMAN'S CLUB OR SPORTS BAR.

WHAT'S IN DEMAND NOW @ RESTAURANTS?
 Simple, "Vegan", and "Pasta".
Yup, Gluten Free is a MUST.
Low Sodium is a smart move.
"Wahlburger's" has what they call "The Impossible Burger", it's totally meatless, but you can't even taste the difference, if you don't know. It does not have to be called a "Vegan Burger" or a "Veggie Burger", don't play those labels UP.
Fish is in.
Great Tasting Veggie Dishes are in high demand.
Pastas of all kinds, use chicken burgers, and turkey balls, use non red meats.
If you Own, Manage,or work as a Chef @ a Restaurant that has no clue about what I write, then go to a Vegan Eatery and experience this kind of food, first hand. That will give you the exact taste & grasp of this entire cuisine. AND You need to know !!!!!

FROM THE WAY YOUR SIGN, YOUR PARKING LOT, YOUR FRONT ENTRANCE APPEAR, TO THE CLOTHES YOUR STAFF WEARS, TO THE ATTITUDES THAT YOUR EMPLOYEES HAVE, TO THE QUALITY OF DRINKS AND FOOD YOU SERVE, TO YOUR REST ROOMS, TO YOUR DJ WHO SHOULD TALK ALOT LESS AND SPIN DANCE MUSIC, TO THE WALLS, THE FLOOR, THE CEILING, TO THE BAR TOP, THE BAR STOOLS, THE TABLES, THE CHAIRS, THE WORN OUT MENUS, THE TACKY CHALK BOARD, TO THE OUTDATED NEON BEER SIGNS, TO THE NONSENSE YOU HAVE ON YOUR WALLS, THIS IS ALL ON YOU !!!!!!
CORN HOLE, DARTS, KARAOKE, ARE SO OVER WITH.
FRIED FOODS ARE SO UNHEALTHY UNLESS PREPARED IN AIR FRYERS. THE CHANGES IN THIS INDUSTRY ARE ENDLESS. BUT YOU DON'T KEEP UP WITH THEM. YOU DON'T EVEN HAVE A WEB SITE, YOU RELY ON FACE BOOK. YOUR GLASSWARE IS THE KIND YOU THROW AWAY. LOOK AT YOUR BENT FORKS AND CROOKED KNIVES. STOP USING PLASTIC STRAWS. WHY IS IT I CAN LOOK @ A VIDEO OF YOUR ESTABLISHMENT AND LIST 25 CHANGES YOU NEED TO MAKE, AND YET, YOUR ON THE PREMISES ALMOST DAILY AND YOU DON'T EVEN SEE ONE?

"#ME TOO MOVEMENT" totally applies to your place. LET ME TELL YOU HOW MUCH OF A CRISIS THIS IS. 40% OF FEMALE FAST FOOD EMPLOYEES HAVE BEEN SEXUALLY HARASSED.
 ACCORDING TO THE DC FIRM, "HART RESEARCH ASSOCIATES", THIS WAS AN IN DEPTH,STUDY.
   More than 76% of Young Women, 18 to 24, have been sexually harassed.
   I am advising you "STRAIGHT UP", do not tolerate sexual remarks, or conversation. Do not stand for any type of physical sexual harassment.
    Never allow your Female Staff to be harassed or treated with disrespect. Never allow staff or guests to go over the line and make your Female Staff feel totally uncomfortable working for you. Never ever hit on your own Female Staff. If you can't create a relationship with Female Guests who are Single and Available for dating, then you have a serious problem.
No Female, either staff or guest should ever feel fear, worry, or concern for their safety working for you or coming in as a customer. You should have Female Management, you should have a "ZERO TOLERANCE" for questionable remarks or behavior.
The US Supreme Court has ruled "That regardless of what a Woman is wearing, that does not justify any type of sexual harassment."
One of my Fashion Boutiques, I owned, was located next to a very popular Bar & Grille owned by two hard working, good friends, Male Partners.
 One Afternoon one of their Barmaid's came to see me. Why, I have no clue. But she complained to me, that one of these Owner's was hitting on her and constantly bringing up "oral sex".
She did not want to lose her job, but she was crying and very upset.
She knew that I was friendly with both Owners, and I did not have any problem confronting one of them with this situation.
I did so and explained to him, that he was about to lose one of his most popular barmaid's he had working, and it was all his fault.
I urged him to apologize and to never ever behave in that manner again.
 He did apologize and he did change his behavior, while this very well liked Barmaid did stay on for sometime, she eventually left, but not because of what had previously occurred.  When a situation like this arises, you want to resolve it ASAP.
  This is the Generation of "Hooking Up", but it must be mutual and not one sided. If you don't want to confront a Manager one on one, who is coming on to you, and you work for a National Chain or Establishment that has an HR Department or HR Person go directly to them.
  If not, then, YES, ask a fellow female employee to speak on your behalf, because you don't want to cause a scene, and your afraid to come right out and tell them to STOP!

BARS, YOU CANNOT ANY LONGER PLACE THE BURDEN OF YOUR ENTERTAINMENT ON YOUR BAR, AND NOT COLLECT A COVER CHARGE, BECAUSE YOUR AFRAID OF THE RESISTANCE YOUR CUSTOMERS ARE GOING TO GIVE YOU!
I HAD A BAR IN JERSEY, THAT WAS SPENDING WAY TOO MUCH $ ON ENTERTAINMENT, WITHOUT CHARGING A COVER CHARGE, AND IN FACT, LOSING $, BECAUSE THE FIRST $800.-$1000. IN REVENUE THE BAR DID, HAD TO GO TO PAY FOR THE ENTERTAINMENT.
THAT'S INSANE IN THESE CHALLENGING, DAUNTING, TRYING TO THRIVE LET ALONE SURVIVE BAR'S DOING BUSINESS TIMES. THERE IS A WAY WITH A PATH OF LEAST RESISTANCE, TO IMPLEMENT A COVER CHARGE, WITH 99% OF YOUR CUSTOMERS HAVING NO PROBLEM PAYING IT.
OH YES THERE IS. I HAVE PROVIDED THIS "PROCESS" TO HUNDREDS OF BARS, WITH ONLY A VERY FEW ENCOUNTERING ANY REAL CHALLENGE BY THEIR PATRONS.
THE BAR IS REVENUE, THE DOOR CHARGE GOES TO COVER YOUR ENTERTAINMENT. YOU CAN'T GO TO A MOVIE FOR LESS THAN $10 TO $20 TO $50 FOR SOME I-MAX SCREENS. WHY SHOULD YOU GIVE PEOPLE FREE ENTERTAINMENT, JUST BECAUSE THEY ARE GOING TO DRINK IN YOUR BAR? THEN THERE IS THE CHEESY WAY TO USE THE BAR TO PAY FOR THE ENTERTAINMENT, WHEN THERE IS NO COVER CHARGE, THAT'S WHEN OWNERS BUMP THE PRICE OF DRINKS TO COMPENSATE FOR THE COST OF THE ENTERTAINMENT. A TOTAL DISASTER, AND NEGATIVE TACTIC.
IT DEPENDS TOTALLY ON THE FORMULA YOU USE TO START A COVER CHARGE, FROM THE PERSON AT THE DOOR TO THE MANNER IN WHICH IT IS REQUESTED TO THE "KICKER" THAT GIVES THEM THE INCENTIVE TO PAY IT, TO THE ACTUAL ENTERTAINMENT, WHICH IS WORTH PAYING TO SEE AND ENJOY.

Serving Patrons Water !
 Bars, Clubs, Sports Bars, Bar & Grilles, you cannot make a penny serving your patrons glasses of water. You should fully respect anyone who chooses not to drink alcohol, but these Guests also have the right to enjoy a non alcoholic beverage, from Ice Tea, to Soda, to "Sparkling Ice" which comes in 20 flavors and has no sugar in it, you may also offer to serve them bottled water. You should create a "NON ALCOHOLIC MENU", which lists all of the above at $1 over their wholesale price.The objective is not to make $ on this Guest, it is to accommodate them, but also have them drink a beverage, that is not water. In my Club, we politely informed our non drinking Guests, "that we do not serve sink water". This has to be handled by a smiling, very polite female server. This does not require a Manager being involved. Keep it low key and portray it as a no problem moment.
This Policy is a MUST when live entertainment or expensive DJ Talent is being featured. This does NOT apply for just a usual typical format night.

With "Sexually Transmitted Diseases" surging for the fourth straight years, blame goes to lack of awareness, changing sexual behavior and casual sex becoming a nightly activity, Bars,Clubs, Everywhere that has nightlife,it is a Priority that you have "CONDOM MACHINES" in both your Rest Rooms. When I owned my Club, we had them, just in the Men's Room, but times have drastically changed.
How important is making "Condoms" accessible to both sexes in your bar?
Since 2013, there has been a sixty seven percent increase in cases of "Gonorrhea", only one, just one antibiotic can combat the disease,it's CEFTRIAXONE".
I am pleading with Bar Owners, Managers to place "CONDOM MACHINES" in your Rest Rooms ASAP.
"STDs" are spreading like wild fires. When people meet in a bar, and are attracted to one another, before they become "INVOLVED", they need to become "PROTECTED".
It costs Bar Owners NOTHING to have these machines hung on walls in their Rest Rooms. Just think of the lives you will be saving, from the HELL, that both men and women go through in the treatment of these diseases?
You have a moral obligation to your guests, your staff, and YOURSELF to do the right thing. This is A MUST !  

IF YOU KNOW IT ALL, IF YOUR DOING MORE BUSINESS THAN YOU CAN HANDLE, CAUSING YOU TO HIRE MORE STAFF, IF YOUR NUMBERS BEAT LAST YEAR, IF YOUR REPEAT BUSINESS IS UP TWO FOLD, AND IF YOU COULD NOT USE ANY EXPERTISE, ANY DIRECTION, ANY GUIDANCE, ANY INFORMATION, THAT YOU DON'T ALREADY KNOW, THEN I APPLAUD YOU.
