    IT'S THAT TIME OF THE NEW YEAR, TO MAKE YOUR "PROMOLUTIONS" FOR 2020 AND TO "KEEP THEM" ! SO FOR MY 35TH YEAR, HERE WE GO. JUST LIKE RESOLUTIONS YOU MAKE AND BREAK, THESE ARE "PROMOLUTIONS" THAT YOU CANNOT AND WILL NOT BREAK.

1. I WILL NOT ALLOW MY BAR STAFF TO DRINK WHILE WORKING BEHIND THE BAR, NO EXCEPTIONS. IF SOMEONE WANTS TO BUY THEM A DRINK, THEY CHARGE THE CUSTOMER, AND HAVE THE DRINK ONCE, ONCE THEY ARE OFF THE CLOCK.

2. I WILL NOT TOLERATE DISRESPECT, CURSING, RUDE, AND SLOPPY DRESSING STAFF.
NOT THIS NEW YEAR, EITHER THEY RESPECT ME AND MY PLACE OR THEY SAY "BYE BYE".

3. I WILL NOT OFFER DRINK SPECIALS EVERY NIGHT ANYMORE, INSTEAD, I WILL PRESENT PROMOTIONS, THAT ATTRACT WOMEN, NOT FOR WHAT I AM GIVING AWAY AT THE BAR, BUT RATHER FOR WHAT "THE FUN" IS FOR THE NIGHT.

4. I WILL NOT BOOK THE SAME LOCAL BANDS THAT PLAY EVERYWHERE IN MY AREA, AND THAT I BARELY BREAK EVEN WITH. I WILL BOOK NEW BANDS, THAT WILL ATTRACT A LARGE CROWD AND SIGN THEM TO AN EXCLUSIVE FOR MY AREA.

5. I WILL REQUEST MY LIQUOR SALESMEN TO PLAN "BRAND PARTIES" WITH BRAND AMBASSADORS, FREE BRAND GOODIES, UNDERWRITING DRINK DISCOUNTS, FEATURING THIS SPECIFIC BRAND, HAVING THE BRAND BABES APPEAR. I WANT THESE PARTIES ONCE A MONTH. AND YES, THEY DO THIS, WHEN YOU PUSH THEM.

6. I WILL REMODEL MY RESTROOMS SO THAT THEY SPARKLE AND SHINE, INSTEAD OF LOOKING DISGUSTING, AND I HAVE BEEN IGNORING THIS EYE SORE.

7. I WILL REQUEST MY STAFF ABIDE BY THEIR SCHEDULE AND NOT SWITCH WITH ANY OTHER EMPLOYEE WITHOUT INFORMING ME FIRST. I ALSO WILL EXPECT MY STAFF TO SHOW UP ON TIME FROM NOW ON, AND NOT GIVE THEM ALL THE SLACK I HAVE IN THE PAST, WHICH HAS RESULTED IN AN OUT OF CONTROL SITUATION. SOME STAFF MAY HAVE TO GO.

8. I WILL BUY NEW GLASSWARE, AND NOT SERVE MY CUSTOMERS IN GLASSES, I KNOW ARE BEYOND USE.

9. I WILL START SERVING FOOD, I DON'T NEED A KITCHEN, ONE SIMPLE APPLIANCE AND I CAN SERVE THE BEST SMALL PLATES. NO FRIED FOOD, YUCK.

10. AS A RESTAURANT, I WILL HIRE A DJ AFTER MY FOOD SERVICE IS OVER AND MOVE MY TABLES, CHAIRS, TO CREATE A DANCE FLOOR, LET MY DJ SPIN AND , PRESTO, I HAVE NIGHTLIFE. IT WORKS @ SO MANY OTHER RESTAURANTS, I WANT IT TOO.

11. HAVING BEEN AN ABSENTEE OWNER, I WILL NO LONGER RELY ON MY MANAGEMENT TO RUN MY, MY, MY BAR, MY RESTAURANT, MY NIGHTCLUB, MY SPORTS BAR, I WILL BE ON THE PREMISES FAR MORE, ESPECIALLY @ NIGHT.

12. I WILL REFRAIN FROM WASTING MY MONEY ON RADIO ADS AND NEWSPAPER PRINT ADS. THEY DON'T HAVE ANY RETURN ON MY INVESTMENT.

13. I WILL TAKE ADVANTAGE OF EVERY HOLIDAY, BY CAPITALIZING ON AND CELEBRATING THEIR THEME.

14. I WILL NOT ASK FRIENDS AND FAMILIES FOR THEIR ADVICE, BECAUSE THEY DO NOT HAVE THE EXPERTISE, KNOWLEDGE, OR KNOW HOW, TO MAKE MY PLACE SUCCESSFUL. I WILL ASK PEOPLE WHO ARE EXPERTS IN THIS INDUSTRY.

15. WHEN I PRESENT A BAND, I AM NOT GOING TO CONTINUE TO NOT CHARGE A COVER CHARGE, BECAUSE, AS I ALREADY MADE THE PROMOLUTION RESOLUTION, I WILL NOT BE BOOKING LOCAL, "PLAY EVERYWHERE BANDS", I AM GOING TO CHARGE A COVER CHARGE FOR BANDS THAT MY AREA HAS NEVER SEEN, BUT WILL PACK MY PLACE.

16. I AM NOT GOING TO OVERBUY LIQUOR, BEER, WINE, ENERGY DRINKS, JUST TO PUT A SMILE ON A SALESMAN'S FACE. I WANT TO BE "BUYING WISE", WHICH MEANS BUYING WHAT I NEED AND NOT WHAT A SALESMAN WANTS ME TO.

17. I WILL NOT TOLERATE SLOBS, AND TROUBLEMAKERS COMING INTO MY PLACE.I WANT MY CUSTOMERS TO "DRESS CASUALLY ACCORDINGLY", MEANING NO TANK TOPS, NO FLIP FLOPS, AT NIGHT.

18. I WILL FROM NOW ON PUT A VERY SAVVY, SMART, AND PRETTY YOUNG LADY WHO CAN HANDLE HERSELF ON MY FRONT DOOR, RATHER THAN A BIG BULKY MAN. I WANT PEOPLE TO FEEL COMFORTABLE ENTERING MY PLACE.

19. I WILL PAY MY BILLS ON TIME, I WILL NOT DRINK AT MY OWN BAR, AND LET MY STAFF SEE ME ACT LIKE A FOOL, NOR WILL I CURSE OR BE A ILL MANNERED OWNER.

20. I WILL MAINTAIN BOTH THE OUTSIDE AND INSIDE OF MY PLACE, I WILL NOT ALLOW ANYONE TO LEAVE INTOXICATED WITHOUT TAKING THEIR CAR KEYS AND CALLING UBER.

I HAVE GIVEN YOU TWENTY NEW PROMOLUTION RESOLUTIONS TO MAKE FOR 2020.
THESE ARE POLICIES THAT YOU SHOULD HAVE ALREADY IMPLEMENTED AND OPERATED BY.
YOU CAN WATCH ALL THE "BAR TV SHOWS" YOU WANT. BUT THEY ARE NOT GOING TO TEACH YOU HOW TO HAVE THAT AMBITION & DRIVE, THAT HUNGER TO BE SUCCESSFUL.
THAT HAS TO COME FROM WITHIN YOU.
