ASTOUNDING, ASTONISHING, OR ABSOLUTELY AWFUL!

I have observed Clubs that just make my head shake in the manner in which they operate week in, week out.

From Vegas to Miami, from NYC to LA, and now the Hamptons where the new "STEREO" is set to open, why is it always, the DJ, the Drink Special, and nothing more?

Yes I know that various clubs in these locales pour a million Dollars into their Atmosphere but so what?

I mean can you afford to allocate $10,000 on the latest hi-def mixer and related projection technology?

Of course not, most clubs can't that is why you counter those Disney world effects with the REAL DEAL.

Which are my favorite two Aspects of Club Life?

"THE FUN"? "THE WOW FACTORS"?
Your Club, Lounge, Bar, on the water Outside Bar can either be Astounding and Astonishing which it should portray in every single aspect of it's presentation, or sadly it can be
Absolutely Awful.

Why tolerate violence? Why tolerate foul language? Why tolerate disrespect to your female patrons?

It's your Club, clean up it's act, it's atmosphere, it's appeal....................................................

But, when you place "Drink Specials" before the music, the theme, the format, the concept, the event, the party, the contest, the focus, then you are doing great damage to your Club, your Lounge, your Bar and your Sports Bar.

When you utilize your Beer Garden just for discounting drinks your costing yourself and your overall operation tens of thousands of dollars.

When you ignore the insight and hands on knowledge of your employees, because of your arrogance and self absorbed mentality, your doing your costing your own establishment

tens of thousands of dollars.

Some facts you need to know, CD Sales are down 20%, Champagne Sales are up 12%.

Famed DJ Appearance Fees are going down, Local Band Fees are going down.

So many Clubs rely on "Guest DJs" who cost them thousands and don't even make them hundreds.

You have to "ASTOUND" your local market and night life culture with Personal Appearances that they can relate to, and not with performers who just because you claim they are from NYC or CHI TOWN, or LA or Europe that they must be seen.

WRONG......................................................................

As for local Bands, all across the USA their fees are sinking because they themselves are to blame.

They dress like slobs, they are too lazy to learn new material and to put together Sets dedicated to specific genres of music, they drink on stage, they are too predictable, and become "AVERAGE".

Lights, Sound and Video have become so "ACCEPTABLE" because one club plays "Can you top this" with their competition, by spending thousands more to have the most, the biggest of the

eye popping effects.

You don't need to, instead, counter their overdone technology features with "THE FUN" and "THE WOW FACTORS", they will win every time.

WHY ARE YOU SO AFRAID:

1. To charge a Cover Charge during the week for a Premier Promotion?

2. To stop being reliant and dependent on drink specials, beer discounting to attract patrons?

3. To cancel radio and print advertising that you know is not working or drawing in new faces?

4. To fire your DJ who totally ignores you and spins what he wants even though the dance floor is empty?

5. To change your format and upgrade your quality of patron?

6. To buy your Partner out who is nothing but dead weight?

7. To remodel when you know the bar looks like it was hit by a Tornado?

8. To replace employees who are either over pouring, not charging their friends and have a horrible attitude?
