STOPPING DRUGS IN YOUR CLUB!
By Rich
Unger
There is a scene in the Movie
"The Untouchables" where Sean Connery's Character, a Veteran
Chicago Street Cop says to Kevin Costner as Elliot Ness" everybody
knows where the illegal liquor is, nobody wants to do anything about
it".
The same can be said of drugs in
clubs.
Everyone from the Doormen to your
servers, from your DJ to your bartenders know who deals drugs and who
gives out the "Date Rape Drug GHB" in your Club. They know
who is doing drugs, make no mistake, what you don't see, they already
know...............
And I hold every Manager and every
Owner responsible for this crap. Your damn right, you have the power
to stop it, to prevent it and to chase it out of your club.
NO Owner or Manager should allow
tolerate or turn their back on drug use in their club.
I applaud NYC Authorities for
shutting down arrogant and ignorant clubs who flagrantly allowed club
usage and even put patrons who overdosed in closets and threw him out on
the street.
You have a responsibility and a damn
moral obligation to prevent drug use and drug sales in your Club.
Don't even waste my time with
excuses and pathetic logic.
If your letting patrons take "GHB",
"G" "liquid X" and "easy lay" as the street
slang describes it, then you should have your club shut down...........
There is one policy to have and
that's ZERO TOLERANCE".
When you show your patrons you will
not simply let drug use and drug activity to transpire in your club
without severe consequences you send out a clear message, NOT IN MY CLUB!
There is a strategy I employ, when
clubs retain my services that clearly sends out a message "NO MORE
DRUGS".
My multi-level attack on drugs and
cleaning them out of clubs involves working with local law
enforcement, and taking no prisoners, no excuses, no chit chat, no
nothing.
As with the war on terror the same
applies to Drug use in clubs, you are either part of the problem or part
of the solution. Which are
you and which is your club?
What goes on outside in front of your
Club and in your parking lot, is just as important as what goes on inside
the club.
It's your parking lot, it's your
front entrance, they are your patrons. Either you earn their respect
or you let them diss you.
Oh and spare me the moronic argument,
" My business will fall on it's face".
Let me make this as clear as I can,
if your dependent on drug dealers and drug users to keep your club above
water, than you should sink faster than the Titanic.
Any questions?
I thought not!
