NIGHTCLUB PROMOTIONS: FAILURE IS NOT AN OPTION
By Rich
Unger
I have never seen so many Owners act in such a totally illogical
manner, that they spend on radio, they give away drinks, the don't charge
a cover, and then they wonder why they have no money?
I have never seen so many DJs who think they know more than what their
patrons do and thus they spin house, techno, rap, and they empty the
dance floor and bring in the wrong crowd.
I have never seen so many Managers who hire the wrong employees, because
of their looks and not their abilities.
I have never seen so many mistakes, missteps, miserable moves that end up
costing the club tens of thousands of dollars.
Let's clear it up right here right now: failure is not an option, you need
to open more nights, you need to do more, and you need to draw more women.
Your Club is lacking in personality and image, it's got plenty of
atmosphere but no life. There is a huge difference. You would rather close
than make a night work. You would rather give away cheap drinks, free
cover then make money and you would rather listen to people who know
nothing, I repeat, nothing about this industry and suffer along then
retain the Best and make some serious money.
I will never understand how an Owner can give away free drinks to friends.
You never give away that with what you depend on for a living.
What good is a VIP ROOM if you have nothing special in it, about it or
known for it? What good is DJ after DJ after DJ, don't you think your own
patrons are bored to tears with what you are offering them?
Why do Owners listen to so many people that have no experience, no hands
on knowledge and no proven track record or skill to pack their clubs
except to act as a club promoter and to take their door and hire a DJ and
the club keeps the bar revenue?
Are you for real? Is this why you opened a club? Then there is the lady in
Wisconsin who holds 500, is dead during the week, busy only so-so on
weekends and won't do a promotion to bring in new faces and patrons?
There's the club in Oklahoma, another one, that has a deck, a bar, a club,
a sports bar and he is dying because he can't compete with Graham Bros.
– as if they are some kind of threat, when all they do is give liquor and
beer away at cheap prices.
I mean the stories are like living in "THE TWILIGHT ZONE," why do
restaurants not operate as nightclubs at night? Why do Nightclubs not
serve any kind of food, you don't need a kitchen? Why is it Owners have
all the excuses but not the answers? Because they rely on, they depend on
and they want to always take the easy way out, knowing it will not profit
them.
You think a club that is packed with $1 drinks, no cover, and a band or a
DJ is making money then you should have been the first one to hear Trump's
infamous words, "YOU’RE FIRED."
No Club – let me make this as clear as I can – no club can have
entertainment, cheap and cheaper and cheapest drinks, and no cover, and be
jammed packed with a line and be making money.
Whoever is telling you this is either a captured terrorist wanting a piece
of bread or a complete brainless person.
You add up your bills, you add up your expenses, you do the math and you
explain to me please, how failure is an option?
Because unless you take advantage of every single Holiday, Event, Concept,
Contest, Promotion, Gathering, Happening, and Party I design and customize
for you, that none, I repeat none have any drink specials, then you are
going to lose tens of thousands of dollars, and you have no one to blame
but Y-O- U.
Now, stop the dead nights, stop the giveaway nights, stop the free covers,
stop the cheap priced nights and let's accept the Mantra, "Failure Is Not
An Option" in NIGHTCLUB PROMOTIONS.
