WHY "HIP HOP" IS SO DANGEROUS!
By RichUnger

There is a major difference between playing "USHER" and spinning "50cents."

There is a dramatic variance on allowing in Athletic wear, baseball caps, baggy pants, sloppy jeans, huge jewelry as opposed to requiring Men dress in Nice style Pants, Shirts, and with more of a "GQ" look, rather than a gangsta wannabe Attitude.

From shootings, to knifings, from fights to attacks on women patrons, when your so desperate that you rely on thugs to pack your club you are putting your staff your female patrons and yourself at great risk.  Also consider the image and the rap on the street your club is generating?

Think about the damage to your club, that these punks cause?  When your DJ continues to feed this element this vicious, violent spin after spin, he also fuels the fire.  It's time to take back your Club.  This is your wake up call.  Summer is fast approaching, and you better clean out the trash, appeal to the class and fast.

I don't care what Race, what Religion, What Origin these troublemakers are, I am only concerned with your club being known for "THE FUN" and "THE WOW FACTORS" and not the "Let's not go there, it's nothing but fights", street heat.  Look at your ratio of Women to men, if you are dominated by men patrons, you have a major problem?  Look at the quality of patron you are drawing, if your not attracting polite and friendly patrons, you have a major situation? Look at the dress and appearance of your present patron base, you tell me these are the customers who you want as regulars?  Look at the per patron dollars spent and you tell me, this crowd is dropping big bucks?

Yet, Owners will overlook the mitigating factors that are clear and present as to why they should not offer a "Hip Hop Format" and turn their heads to the downside, just to take in what little cash that is generated on these nights.  When any club has to rely on this kind of patron to make a living, you are headed for distinction.

Let's remember your relationship with Law Enforcement, your constant Confrontations, that require responses from local authorities.  Let's also keep in mind, your bottom line.
The high profile Security Staff you employ. The risks they face.

Don't you get it YET?

No amount of revenue, justifies the headaches, hassles and heartache of hosting "Hip Hop" Nights.  If your club is so reliant on this crowd to survive and stay in business, then you
should really consider selling your club.  Because between the influx of gangs, and the violence that accompanies them, along with the element they draw, you lose control of your club, of your format, of your staff, of your patrons and you lose your sanity.

And for what?

"Hip Hop" is not what your Club needs to succeed.

"Hip Hop" is not what is going to make you record revenue.

"Hip Hop" is not what women feel safe being featured in clubs they frequent.

Watch how fast your female Patronage goes bye bye.  I don't consider certain "NE-YO" songs to be "Hip Hop" so let's set the spin straight right now.  Clubs do not need, do not want, do not desire and certainly do not encourage ATTITUDE," and that is all "Hip Hop" is about.  In 2006, Clubs should be romancing "WOMEN" with "THE FUN" and "THE WOW FACTORS."  Clubs should be secure without showing it, safe without seeing it, and smooth by spotlighting it.  "Rapper Proof" a member of "D12" was shot and killed at the "CCC Club" located along in the area that divides Detroit from the Burbs, this past April 11th.

The violence that follows and is part of the "Hip Hop" Culture which overflows into Nightclubs is totally unacceptable.  Let me lay it out for you in plain English "If You Can't Pack Your Club Without Thugs And Punks Then You Should Call Me To Roll Out "THE FUN" and "THE WOW FACTORS" , that attract New Quality Patrons and Especially FEMALES, or you need to Sell It or Close It"If your Club is less than a Year old and your not packed every Night, Wed. Thurs. Fri. and Sat. then your doing it ALL WRONG.  If you can't institute a Cover Charge, then your in the wrong biz.  If you have to rely on "Hip Hop" formats, then you need to take a real hard look at what your doing, what the results are, what the price is your paying to attract this market and is it ALL WORTH IT?

Because there is so much great dance music out right now, and so many clubbers that want to dance not become angry and alienated from what your DJ spins, your not drawing Women because they are in fear, their disgusted and they have no desire to frequent your club.
Your not making money, because you and your partner are too lazy too scared and too complacent to accept Change for the BETTER.

And on those words, I say "EITHER MAKE IT HAPPEN OR SLOWLY FADE IN OBLIVION." The choice is always yours, I am just a phone call away, if your not prepared to pack your club with "THE FUN" and "THE WOW FACTOR" then don't even bother picking up the phone.

BUT, if you see the point I am making and can envision the results of my
direction, call me at 941-921-7027 or email RichUnger@promotingnightclubs.com

It's all up to you<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<
