Your Opening A Nightclub, Why, Where, When, How, & With What?

It's everyone's dream, everyone's fantasy, and once in a while
someone's reality.
Opening and Operating a Nightclub.
Let's start with Why?
Is it the ego and stature of owning your own club, is it the
lure and the lust of running your own club.
I think it is imperative that you know exactly why you want to own a Nightclub.
So many people open clubs for all the wrong reasons and the end
result is they fail. Opening a Nightclub is all about operating a business, making a
profit, employing people, catering to people, entertaining patrons, protecting
patrons, and keeping patrons.
Far too many Rookie Operators fail miserably at most of these
initiatives. I will give you the top reasons, lack of funding, lack of Family
support and backing, lack of experience, lack of excitement, lack of necessity,
lack of location, lack of marketing, lack of theme, lack of hands on
management. I have spoken to so many Potential Club Owners who have no biz even
entering the front door, they want to own a club for their ego and their image, not for the practical side of presenting a killer operation to
their Community. If you don't have the hands on costs, overhead and what it will take to
pay the nut every month, stay out, I repeat stay out of the business.
Where? Location, Location, Location, think before you sign that lease, look
before you buy that commercial zone property, and remember that unless you have a
good location with great parking and sign visibility you are going to have
a more difficult time, than when you have met all three goals.
Check out your neighbors, look for possible signs of
trouble, research the area, and make sure your where you want to be, with easy access, via
car, bus and if at all possible, boat.
When to open? Don't simply open at the wrong time of Year, thinking that
just because your new and unique regardless of the time of Year, your going to have a
tremendous opening. Wrong and Wrong again.
You must open at the opportune time, when the most people in the demographics you are targeting are residing in your Community.
For example if your opening in a college town, it would behoove you to
open
when College is in session, not when they are out on Holiday or break. But so many new club owners don't use logic and common sense, but
are jilted by the Night life, the women, the action and the decisions they
make, that ultimately cost them dearly when they do chose a location.
There are worthless message boards on the Net, that supposedly cater
to the nightclub industry, but sound more like ego controlled, lack of knowledge
wastes of time.
And where so called new club to be Owners ask the most ridiculous
questions. If these Club Owner Wanna Bees ever find someone to fund their venture,
there is no way with their lack of hands on knowledge, lack of expertise
and lack of maturity, ever succeed. They never do.....................
