That's correct I cannot stand "HIP HOP"
and no club needs to offer it, spin it or mix it to pack it's room.
Every Club needs "FRESH NEW IDEAS," it's now Feb. 06 that's two
months into the New Year, and your still doing what you did last year.
Your drawing the wrong crowd, very few women and you even fear
for your staff, every night you open with this Male Dominant Crowd of
punks, thugs, and gangsta wannabes your
drawing.Women? What Women?
Energy? What Energy?
Image? What Image?
Recently I had two different "New
Club" Owners contact me from "SOBE" AKA "South Beach", they have no
clue, I mean no insight as to how to compete, how to
Thrive, how to take the competition's crowd away?
You see no matter where you operate
your Bar, your Club, your Ultra Lounge, your sports bar, ( which is over
with after SUPER BOWL, UNLESS 17 DAYS OF THE
WINTER OLYMPICS WILL PACK YOUR SPORTS BAR) your Outside Deck, your After
Restaurant then Night Life Operation. There
are only so many clubbers, and party people who go out each night.
In Naples, Florida a Person with Zero Experience, buys a
club and offers cheap drinks and horrible
bands and wants a line outside?
This person knew this club was in
poor shape and had a so, so reputation, but without using common sense
or logic bought it anyway and had a horrible Holiday
Season and is lucky if the club stays open thru the Summer.
In Ventura, Calif. another rocket scientist buys a club with a
horrible crowd, and is totally reliant on a
radio station for one Good Night a week.
Again, drink specials, begging, groveling, pleading to get anyone to
patronize this club.
He has to consult his Wife and his partner in order to do any
format changes. "Hi Honey, can we please turn
this club around?" Talk about "Desperate
Housewives" I can't even visualize this conversation?
And finally in Vancouver, another
Mensa Member buys a Club that needs to totally clean out the trash
patrons and bring in new patrons, first the Owner wants to be like an
NYC Club, but............... when I point out to him this NYC Club is no
better off then his club, he says "oh, perhaps your right."
There should be a "MENTAL APTITUDE TEST" for potential Owners to
take, prior to their ownership of a Nightclub.
Because, never have so many been so lacking in knowledge,
intellect and ability, than so far this Year has shown.
And the Year is only 2 months in, wow can you imagine by DEC. We
will need a Stadium with padded seats and restraints.
One of the most tenacious and World
Respected Businessmen of our Times, Jack Welch once said "There are two
golden rules, Rule #1 Never ever lose money.
Rule #2 Never forget Rule #1. The
majority of bar, lounge, club Owners lose money.
Because they allow complacency and laziness to overcome
staying sharp and always being ahead of your competition.
"A NIGHTCLUB PROMOTION IS WHAT IT IS," meaning it's the most
important aspect of your nightly operation.
Sure the music has to be hot, the
energy has to be in the atmosphere, but the "PROMOTION" now that's the
kicker that puts the cash in your registers...........
If you follow my direction it's
"FUN" to make money.
If you choose to stay your course, it's miserable to miss out on all
that potential cash.
Times have changed so dramatically
in the last three years, but most Owners Have
not kept up with trends, direction, or technology.
"A NIGHTCLUB PROMOTION IS WHAT IT IS" and that simple
statement reflects what is lacking and missing from so many Clubs,
Upscale, midstream, and New.
So all you Owners and Managers while
your numbers remain stagnant and you competition chips away at your
establishment, night after night, remember
"A NIGHTCLUB PROMOTION IS WHAT IT IS" and most cases it's the
difference between being packed and being empty.
