It cuts either a Club is running the
same stale promotion and drawing nobody, or the Club ran a killer
promotion, packed the house, and then never presented it again. To
run the same promotion, week in, week out, and realize it's over with, and
not replace it and refresh it, is absolute madness.
Yet, I also don't understand the
other side of the One Night Promotion Strategy, that is when a club owner
and manager decide to put on a One Nighter , that will pack their club and
create a line around the block, but, after all their blood sweat tears,
they are nowhere in position for the next week to bring on a promotion
just as strong.
Then there are the Club Owners and
Managers, who do nothing in the way of unique promotions at all during the
week, and decide to kick out the jams, once a Month, with a killer
Promotion or Contest. again, this is total insanity. You have to
create a game plan, this isn't fly by the seat of your pants 101, wake up
my Club Ego Maniacs, and realize you need a blueprint of promotions,
contests, concepts and events.
STOP listening to radio salespeople
who are only interested in the "BUY."
STOP listening to people who have no
clue what their talking about.
STOP listening to everyone but THE
PROS............
Your club is suffering because you
are not paying attention to what it needs.
You can't understand why with all the
lights, the sound, the DJ, your not packing them in?
You can't understand why with all the
money your spending on radio your not packing them in?
You can't understand why, with all
the drink specials and no cover nights, your not packing them in?
Because, what your doing is WRONG,
WRONG and WRONG again..........

IS PAUL OAKENFOLD THAT GOOD?
Can someone please send me a CD of
Mr. Oakenfold's , so I may judge first hand if this is Thee Man?
His Record label is too cheap to even send a copy. I mean why must
we go overseas to find the best of the best, supposedly? Do You mean
to tell me there is not one hot DJ in the USA who can spin and win just as
proficiently as their boy Paul?
I will agree Scribbles is erased, I
cannot understand why MTV has not chosen a new mainstream DJ to fill
Scribble's place. They replace VJ's but, they keep Scribbles and he
is in a same old mold.....
I have heard from Club Owners who
paid Scribbles his outrageous fee of $10,000. and lost their tuchus.
I mean, some Club Owners really need to get a brain and some intelligence,
before you pay a DJ who is still in a time warp, 10k to appear at your
club...
I say, let's hold a REAL DJ SHOWDOWN,
not a politically motivated event. Let's find out who the best of
the best really is?
I believe NY, LA, Miami, even ChiTown
have better DJs then anyone England can send us. Let me know what
