NIGHTCLUB PROMOTIONS, THEY’RE YOUR PREROGATIVE!

So many Nightclub Owners from outside Detroit and near Ontario panic
and dream up ideas to lure patrons that have no common sense at all. For
instance, I had a Club Owner call me who is dead six nights a week. The
Owner's answer, "I am going to rent a bus and transport patrons to my
club."
Sure you are, and when you’re through paying the bus rental, cleaning up
the bus, paying the damages and the insurance liability make sure you show
me your profit.
Then there are the Club Owners who have clubs that hold 200 to 600 patrons
and are dead during the week, so they resort to discounting, price
promoting and still nobody shows up. What are these people thinking? Why
do they even own clubs? You cannot and will not survive simply on packed
Friday and Saturday Nights, impossible.
Oh sure, you will pay your bills and just barely get by, but as far as
making money, no way.
You hire a Club Manager who thinks he knows it all. I love these people,
they are such fakes and frauds and all they know how to do is spend and
ruin whatever you had. Let me ask you a simple question, if these out of
work Club Managers are so good, so talented and so knowledgeable, why are
they looking for work? Why are they hitting on your club?
I have recently met such an individual, an "I know it all Club Manager." I
am not going to say a word, I am going to let him show the Owner he has no
clue, spend like a drunk sailor, ruin what could be a great concept, why?
Because it is not my place to tell any Owner that he is hiring a fraud. It
is not my place to tell any Owner that he just got sold the farm.
The only way, sadly, Club Owners learn is the hard way. The old "I told
you so" line means absolutely nothing anymore. Club Owners are so thirsty
for business that they will drink sand thinking it's water, because they
are lost. (Yes, I stole that line and revised it from the movie "American
President.”)
So Club Owners, it's your prerogative and you can do what you want, hire
whom you choose and give away what you want in the form of cheap beer and
liquor. But just remember this one remark from me, "at the end of the
night, after you pay everyone and after all your expenses are paid, what’s
left?"
I make more clubs more money who listen instead of following, who absorb
instead of trying it their way.
There are two ways to run a bar, a lounge, a club, either you give your
liquor and beer away to bring patrons in and make the bar pay for the
entertainment or you put the focus on "THE FUN" and you make the
entertainment charge pay for the entertainment and you draw in patrons
because of what your doing and not what your giving away.
We are now in November, going into the CASH, I mean CASH months, what are
you going to do, how are you going to do it and when are you going to do
what it takes to make thousands of dollars rather than the pittance you
are now?
I had an arrogant Owner thought he was King of the Hill, he didn't need
anybody, his club was going to pack them in. He was rude, crude and lewd.
Now, his club sits idle, closed. Once again, I tried to show him, to tell
him to give him the paths and the direction to take to generate huge
revenue, but nope, he was too smart, too arrogant and too ego driven.
Maybe the next time I order Domino's it will be him at the door? Ya Think?
